Abstract

Parenting in rural communities still faces various challenges, particularly related to parents’ ability to regulate emotions when dealing with children’s behavior. Limited access to parenting information and socio-economic pressures often affect the quality of parent–child interactions. This community service program aimed to improve mothers’ understanding and skills in applying emotion regulation–based parenting in Jatirejo Village, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency. The program involved 40 mothers with children under the age of 10 and was conducted on August 20–22, 2025, at the Jatirejo Village Hall with the support of lecturers and students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN) from Institut Teknologi Mojosari. The program employed a mixed approach through participatory education, group discussions, and parenting simulations. Program evaluation was conducted using participatory observation, reflective interviews, and descriptive measurements based on rating scales. The novelty of this program lies in the integration of emotion regulation education with a reflective approach based on mothers’ real parenting experiences within the village community, enabling participants not only to receive knowledge but also to reflect on their daily parenting practices. The results showed an improvement in mothers’ emotion regulation skills, indicated by an increase in observation scores from 2.15 to 3.12 and reflective interview scores from 2.05 to 3.20. These changes were reflected in mothers becoming calmer, more patient, and more responsive in dealing with children’s behavior. In addition to improving mother–child interactions, the program also strengthened social support among mothers within the community. Therefore, emotion regulation–based parenting education is considered an effective and contextual approach to improving parenting quality in rural communities. Future programs are recommended to be implemented sustainably by integrating similar initiatives into family empowerment activities at the village level.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze multi-class sentiment to assess student satisfaction with web-based academic management applications in higher education institutions. Utilizing natural language processing (NLP) techniques and machine learning algorithms such as Random Forest, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Neural Networks, this research classifies student comments into several sentiment categories: positive, neutral, and negative. Data were collected via online surveys and application reviews during the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Results indicate that the SVM method achieved the highest accuracy of 87.5% in multi-class sentiment classification. These findings provide empirical insights into student perceptions and serve as a reference for academic application developers to improve service quality. The study also examines factors influencing student satisfaction and offers recommendations for future application development.

Abstract

Excisia Photography, a professional photography service business in Kediri City, faced various operational obstacles hindering productivity, including slow file delivery to clients, difficulty in team coordination for file sharing, risk of data loss due to reliance on physical storage media, and inefficient manual archiving systems. This study aims to analyze the effect of Google Drive implementation as a cloud storage solution on the operational productivity of Excisia Photography, encompassing aspects of file distribution speed, team collaboration ease, data storage security, and work time efficiency. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed using total sampling of five core team members. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire (1–5) and semi-structured interviews. Results indicate that all productivity indicators achieved very good average scores, with the highest on the file delivery speed dimension (average 4.80), followed by file accessibility, data security, and work efficiency (each 4.60), and team collaboration (4.40). Interview data revealed a 35–40% reduction in project cycle completion time and nearly a twofold increase in production capacity following implementation. It is concluded that Google Drive has a significantly positive effect on the operational productivity of Excisia Photography and can serve as a strategic recommendation for similar photography businesses undergoing digital transformation.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of collaborative learning media in enhancing digital literacy and creativity among female students at Pondok Pesantren KH. Ahmad Bastomi Mojosari Loceret. The study subjects consisted of 50 female students. The research design was a quasi-experiment (one-group pretest–posttest) with data collection methods including digital literacy tests, creativity questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results showed an increase in average digital literacy scores from 65% (pre) to 80% (post). Statistical analysis (paired t-test) indicated a significant difference (t ≈ 7.07; p < 0.001). Furthermore, 75% of respondents showed an increase in creativity according to questionnaires and observations; a proportion test against the random proportion of 50% yielded z ≈ 3.535 (p ≈ 0.0004). Implications: The application of adaptive collaborative media can be an effective strategy to address the limitations of mobile phone access in boarding schools and improve information exploration skills as well as the creativity of female students.

Abstract

The increasing intensity of gadget use among elementary school students, without adequate digital literacy, has the potential to trigger negative behaviors, particularly cyberbullying. This condition was also observed among students at SDN 1 Jatirejo, Rejoso District, Nganjuk Regency, where digital devices are widely used in daily activities but are not accompanied by sufficient awareness of digital ethics and empathy in online interactions. This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of an anti-cyberbullying campaign model based on gadget literacy to strengthen students’ empathy and digital ethics. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model and mixed methods design. The participants consisted of 75 fourth- and fifth-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, N-Gain analysis, and paired sample t-test. The results indicated significant improvements in gadget literacy (62.4 to 81.7), empathy (64.1 to 83.2), and digital ethics (60.8 to 80.5), with moderate N-Gain values (≈0.50) and a significance level of 0.000. In addition, there was a noticeable shift from low to high categories, along with observable behavioral changes, such as more polite communication, increased empathy, and better conflict management. The campaign model proved effective due to its participatory, contextual, and reflective approach, which transforms knowledge into awareness and self-control. Therefore, this model can serve as an alternative preventive strategy to reduce cyberbullying among elementary school students.
