Abstract

The phenomenon of increasing consumption of homoromantic fiction content among early adult women has given rise to the term Fujoshi, which is often directly associated with support for LGBT issues, although such an interpretation does not necessarily reflect individuals’ attitudes in a comprehensive manner. This study is grounded in the need to understand the attitudes of early adult Fujoshi in a more nuanced and non-simplistic way, particularly through the framework of attitude theory encompassing cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. The research problem focuses on how Fujoshi aged 18-40 interpret, experience, and express their attitudes toward homoromantic fiction content and its relationship to social values and norms in real life. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews with three Fujoshi informants who are members of the XX fan chat group. The findings indicate that social media and peer networks play a significant role in the process of becoming a Fujoshi, as well as in shaping relatively intensive and repetitive patterns of content consumption as a form of emotional entertainment. Cognitively, the informants recognize that homoromantic fiction is related to LGBT issues; however, at the affective level, their interest is primarily driven by the uniqueness of the narrative structure and character dynamics rather than by sexual orientation itself. In the conative dimension, most informants do not demonstrate a tendency to support LGBT practices in real life; some even hold conservative views and display critical awareness of the potential negative impacts of their hobby, which they perceive as not fully aligned with prevailing social norms. The study concludes that Fujoshi attitudes are complex, ambivalent, and highly contextual. The novelty of this research lies in revealing a clear differentiation between the consumption of homoromantic fiction as a form of symbolic entertainment and individuals’ value positions toward social reality, which are often normatively conflated in previous assumptions.

Abstract

Abstract A well-prepared abstract enables the reader to identify the basic content of a document This research examines the relationship between self-control and consumer behavior among female students at Muhammadiyah University, Gresik. Consumptive behavior is the desire to consume goods excessively, activities that are not based on rational considerations and tend to waste in order to fulfill personal satisfaction. Meanwhile, Self-Control is an individual's ability to regulate, guide and direct their behavior in purchasing a product. The hypothesis proposed in this research is whether there is a relationship between self-control and consumer behavior among Muhammadiyah University Gresik students. The subjects of this research were 370 active students at Muhammadiyah University of Gresik, using accidental sampling techniques. Based on the research results, it is clear that there is a relationship between self-control and consumer behavior with a value of rho = 0.022 and p = 0.674 on sig. (2-tailed) which means the correlation is (p>0.05). This correlation concluded that there was no relationship between self-control and consumer behavior among Muhammadiyah University Gresik students. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang Hubungan kontrol Diri dengan Perilaku Konsumtif pada Mahasiswia Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik. Perilaku konsumtif adalah keinginan mengkonsumsi barang secara berlebihan, kegiatan yang tidak didasari dengan pertimbangan rasional dan cenderung melakukan pemborosan guna memenuhi kepuasan dalam diri. Sedangkan Kontrol Diri adalah kemampuan individu dalam mengatur, membimbing, dan mengarahkan perilakunya dalam melakukan pembelian suatu produk. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah adakah ada Hubungan kontrol Diri dengan Perilaku Konsumtif pada Mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Aktif Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik sebanyak 370 mahasiswa, menggunakan teknik Accidental sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengatakan bahwa antara kontrol diri dengan perilaku konsumtif terdapat hubungan dengan nilai rho = 0,022dan p = 0,674 pada sig. (2-tailed) yang berarti korelasinya (p>0,05). Korelasi tersebut disimpulkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara kontrol diri dengan perilaku konsumtif pada mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti pengaruhReligiusitas terhadap kebahagiaan pada mahasiswatingkat akhir Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik.Metodepenelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa aktif tingkatakhir Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik dengan total 337 mahasiswa. Serta istilah sampel menggunakanteknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian inidikumpulkan dengan menyebarkan tautan Google Form dan juga lembar kuisioner dengan skala religiusitas dan skala kebahagiaan. Skala yang digunakan dalampenelitian ini adalah skala likert dengan 4 pilihanjawaban pada skala religiusitas dan 5 pilihan jawabanpada skala kebahagiaan. Alat ukur yang digunakandalam penelitian ini untuk religiusitas mengadopsi daripenelitian terdahulu berdasarkan aspek Huber (2012) dan untuk skala kebahagiaan milik Hils Agyle (2002). Uji validitas skala menggunakan validitas isi. Uji keandalanmenggunakan Alpha Cronbach. Teknik yang digunakandalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik analisisregresi sederhana. Hasil analisis menggunakan regresisederhana memperoleh nilai sig 0,000, artinya nilaisignifikan kurang < 0,05. Maka dapat diambil kesimpulandari uji hipotesis artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara religiusitas terhadap kebahagiaan pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik.
