ABSTRACT Coastal communities are vulnerable to health problems due to limited access and socioeconomic conditions. Access to and utilization of health services are important factors in determining the level of public health. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing access to and utilization of health services in coastal communities. This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. A sample of 130 respondents was selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using logistic regression. The results indicate that distance to health facilities, income, education level, and perceptions of health services significantly influence health service utilization (p < 0.05). Distance to facilities and perceptions of service quality were the dominant factors. In conclusion, improving physical access and the quality of health services is essential to increase service utilization by coastal communities.
