The study examines the characterizationof novel that were ecranisation into film based on the study of telling and showing as an alternative to Indonesian language teaching materials oriented to critical thinking in high school. The result of the study, concluded that novel When God Falls In Love written by Wahyu Sujani ecranisasion into the film When God Falls In Love director’s work by Fransiska Fiorella describing various types of characterization with consistency, ecranisation process, and characterization deviations that can used as teaching materials to improve students’ critical thinking skills.]]>
