Abstract

This study examines the structural role of the PKK in efforts to empower women in Lok Lahung Village. The purpose of this research is to identifyand analyze the structural role of the PKK, the programs carried out, and the various challenges faced in the process of empowering village women.This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observations,and documentation studies with informants consisting of PKK administrators, community leaders, and women involved in empowerment activities.Data analysis is carried out through triangulation of sources and techniques to obtain comprehensive data validity. The results of the study showthat the PKK's organizational structure which is systematic with the division of labor plays a role in empowering women through four main functions.First, the adaptation function is realized through adjusting the PKK program to the social and economic needs of village women. Second, the goalattainment function is reflected in the implementation of leadership capacity building programs and organizational management for PKKadministrators. Third, the integration function can be seen from the role of the PKK in providing a space for social and cultural participation thatstrengthens solidarity and social networks of village women. Fourth, the latency function is realized through the internalization of productive gendervalues, norms, and roles that support the sustainability of women's empowerment. However, this study also found a number of structuralchallenges, including the limitations of leadership regeneration, uneven distribution of responsibilities, and the organization's dependence on certainfigures. Therefore, in order to optimize its empowerment role, PKK organizations in Lok Lahung Village need to restructure more inclusive andadaptive to the needs of local women, as well as strengthen collaboration with the village government and other empowerment institutions.

Abstract

Referring to national regulations such as Government Regulation Number 50 of 2011 and Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government, tourism management has become an important part of encouraging regional economic growth. The tourism management process is carried out by the local government together with the local community, which has an impact on economic, social, cultural, and environmental aspects. This study aims to identify the management of Angsana Beach tourist attractions in Angsana District, Tanah Bumbu Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach by utilizing primary and secondary data, as well as analytical techniques including data reduction, data presentation, and validation through triangulation. The results of this study show that management is carried out synergistically by various parties, including the village government, Pokdarwis, Pokmaswas, the Sustainable Green community, and supported by the Tourism Office and the Environment Office. This management focuses on organizational and supervisory aspects, such as ticket sales, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), accommodation, and other tourism facilities. Human resource development is carried out through training and empowerment. Waste management still faces technical issues and a lack of awareness among visitors, while challenges such as extreme weather and an increase in the number of tourists during the holiday season are also affecting management. The positive results of this management include local economic growth, increased social and cultural interaction, and environmental conservation through zoning and embankment construction. These findings also contribute academically and practically, including as a reference source for social studies lessons at the junior high school level on economic potential and community empowerment.

Abstract

This study examines the process of transforming local wisdom by using purun straws as an environmentally friendly alternative toplastic straws in an effort to mitigate carbon emissions. Through a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, participatoryobservations, and document analysis, this study explores how local communities are adapting traditional knowledge about theutilization of purun plants into contemporary solutions to global environmental problems. The findings show that the adoption ofpurun straws has not only succeeded in reducing plastic waste but also empowering local economies, preserving cultural practices,and creating sustainable environmental awareness. Factors supporting success include community involvement, local governmentpolicy support, and the integration of traditional knowledge with modern technology. Key challenges include standardizingproduction, scaling up, and price competition with plastic products. The results highlight the importance of a local wisdom-basedapproach in addressing global environmental problems, providing a model that has the potential to be applied to other contexts andcommunities with appropriate adaptations.

Abstract

The social media application TikTok, especially among millennial college students, has experienced a surge in popularity in recent years. With the number of downloads continuing to increase, TikTok offers a wide variety of engaging content that captivates a wide audience. This research aims to explore the impact of the use of TikTok on students, not only as a means of entertainment, but also in social, psychological, and cultural contexts. This research method involved interviews with 15 college students and meta-analysis of 20 relevant articles, to gain deeper insights into user interactions with the platform. The findings suggest that the use of TikTok can have a double impact. On the one hand, the platform serves as a tool to strengthen social relationships, increase creativity, and allow for positive self-expression, especially for college students who use it for constructive purposes. On the other hand, overuse can harm academic productivity, trigger social anxiety, sleep disturbances, and decreased mental health. Therefore, it is important for students to manage their time and content consumption on TikTok wisely, in order to minimize negative impacts, while taking advantage of the social and creative potential offered by this application. This research is expected to contribute to understanding the influence of TikTok on students' lifestyles and social interactions in the digital era.
