Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of operational management in PT Kalbe Farma Tbk one of a leading pharmaceutical industry in Indonesia through the strategic location selection. Using a qualitative description approach and secondary data, this study provides a description of the Kalbe Farma’s holistic operational practice, such as integration of supply chain, human resources development, technologies. The company excels in strategic location planning, locating production and distribution centers near transportation nodes and population centers with strong market concentrations to enhance efficiency and minimize the cost of logistics. Yet, the steep rise in land prices and congestion in infrastructure etc, continue to remain as challenges. Kalbe tackles these by using digital inventory systems and strengthening partnerships with the public sector. The results illustrate that there are five key success factors for location strategy: market access, supply chain management, qualified labor force, technological assimilation, and environmentalism. Secondly, in its corporate transformation, Kalbe Farma uses a hub-and-spoke approach to optimize service location and national distribution radii. The strategic operation management such as location planning of Kalbe Farma is able to help to keep the competitive position and satisfy their customer throughout Indonesia. The following findings would provide a benchmark, which would then be of use to other manufacturing and distribution-based companies on how to shape their special rational strategies.

Abstract

Abstract: This Community Service Program (PKM) activity aims to provide socialization and practical implementation of QRIS-based cashless donation services for the administrators and congregation of the Hidayatul Islamiyah Mosque in Madong Village. In the current digital era, there has been a change in congregation behavior, and people are increasingly accustomed to conducting non-cash transactions through digital platforms such as mobile banking. However, the donation system in mosques is still dominated by conventional methods, such as using cash donation boxes, so congregations that do not carry physical cash experience obstacles in distributing donations. Furthermore, BKM also does not have an adequate understanding and infrastructure to manage the digital donation system optimally. This PKM activity was attended BKM administrators and congregation representatives. The methods used were participatory socialization, mentoring, and direct implementation. The activity results showed a knowledge transfer from the implementation team to the mosque management regarding the benefits and governance of digital donations. The main output of this activity is the realization of the implementation of digital donation services through the provision of QRIS codes connected to mosque accounts, equipped with standing banners placed in strategic areas of the mosque to facilitate the congregation in making donations practically and efficiently. Abstrak: Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi dan implementasi praktis mengenai layanan donasi cashless berbasis QRIS bagi pengurus dan jemaah masjid Hidayatul Islamiyah Kampung Madong. Di era digital saat ini, terjadi perubahan perilaku jemaah yang semakin terbiasa melakukan transaksi non-tunai melalui platform digital seperti mobile banking. Namun demikian, sistem donasi di masjid masih didominasi oleh metode konvensional menggunakan kotak amal tunai, sehingga jemaah yang tidak membawa uang fisik mengalami kendala dalam menyalurkan donasi. Selain itu, pengurus masjid (BKM) juga belum memiliki pemahaman dan infrastruktur yang memadai untuk mengelola sistem donasi digital secara optimal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknis bagaimana donasi digital mampu meningkatkan kemudahan dan partisipasi jemaah. Kegiatan PkM ini dihadiri oleh para pengurus Badan Kemakmuran Masjid (BKM) dan perwakilan jemaah. Metode yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi-partisipatif, pendampingan, dan implementasi langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya transfer pengetahuan dari tim pelaksana kepada pengurus masjid terkait manfaat dan tata kelola donasi digital. Output utama dari kegiatan ini adalah terwujudnya implementasi layanan donasi digital melalui penyediaan kode QRIS yang terhubung dengan rekening masjid, dilengkapi dengan standing banner yang ditempatkan di area strategis masjid untuk memfasilitasi jemaah dalam melakukan donasi secara praktis dan efisien.
