<![CDATA[The background of this study is the low mastery of science concepts of grade IV students at UPT SDN 018 Langgini. This study aims to improve mastery of science concepts by using Problem Based Learning model assisted by picture media in grade IV elementary schools. This study is a classroom control study, which is carried out in two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. The subjects in this study consisted of 1 teacher and 15 students, while the object was to use the Problem Based Learning model assisted by picture media to improve students' mastery of science concepts. The research instruments consisted of teacher activity observation sheets and student activity observation sheets, test sheets and documentation sheets during learning using the Problem Based Learning model. While the data analysis techniques used were qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study that has been carried out through 2 cycles, cycle 1 meeting I was 20% with a very low category (<40%) and decreased in meeting II by 30% with a very low category (<40%), then in cycle II meeting I experienced an increase of 70% with a moderate category (56-70%), and increased in meeting II 80% with a very high category (86% -100%). The average value of students in cycle 1 meeting I was 56 and decreased in meeting II to 45.5. Then in cycle 2 meeting I increased to 76 and increased again in meeting II to 80.5. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model can improve the mastery of science concepts of grade IV students of UPT SDN 018 Langgini.]]>
