Abstract

This community service activity aims to implement a web-based item borrowing monitoring application as an alternative solution for asset management in a village environment. Common problems encountered in village asset management include manual borrowing records, unstructured documentation, difficulties in tracking the status of borrowed items, and an increased risk of delayed returns and asset loss. The implementation stages consist of observation and interviews to identify user requirements, system design with role-based access for Admin and Borrower, application implementation, user training for village officials and community members, and pilot testing during asset borrowing activities. The developed application is equipped with features such as item inventory management, borrowing and return transaction records, real-time monitoring of borrowing status, user activity history, and report generation. The implementation results indicate that the application improves the organization of borrowing administration, provides clearer information on item status, and accelerates data retrieval compared to the manual system. In addition, borrowing records are well documented, supporting transparency and accountability in village asset management. Therefore, the implementation of a web-based item borrowing monitoring application is considered effective in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of asset management in village communities.

Abstract

The mixing process of materials in the manufacture of compounds in the tire industry is highly dependent on the temperature stability in the mixer chamber. Operators' lack of knowledge about the actual chamber temperature often causes MV (Mooney Viscosity) problems, which affect the quality of the compound. One of the causes is the lack of a real-time temperature monitoring system. To address this issue, a temperature indicator device was designed and developed, equipped with a type-K thermocouple sensor, temperature controller, Arduino, and a visual alarm system. One of the key focuses in developing this device was the design and strength of the sensor mounting frame and panel. The frame was designed using ASTM A36 and AISI 304 materials, and its strength was analyzed in terms of load and welded joints. Test results showed that the device operates stably and safely, and the frame can support the entire system effectively. With this device, temperature monitoring of the chamber becomes more effective, and the potential for MV issues can be significantly reduced.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology (IT) has encouraged various industrial sectors to adopt digitalization to improve efficiency and productivity. PT. TKP, a Mining company in Indonesia, faces challenges in the manual maintenance and monitoring process that makes monitoring ineffective and prone to errors. This study aims to overcome these problems by designing and building an electronic website-based asset information system. This digitalization process is expected to reduce ineffectiveness when monitoring assets, facilitate asset maintenance scheduling, and improve operational efficiency. The methods used include application modeling using the CodeIgniter framework and the PostgreSQL database. The results of the study show that digitalization and the use of information technology can improve efficiency and effectiveness in data management. The implementation of this system is expected to bring significant improvements in the production process of PT. TKP and provide broader benefits in the manufacturing industry

Abstract

This study aims to design an automatic barcode rolling device based on an Arduino Uno microcontroller, with a focus on developing the electrical system as the main controller. The system consists of a DC motor as the main drive, a motor driver to control the direction and speed of the motor, a proximity switch as a sensor to detect the end of the paper, and a potentiometer to adjust the rotation speed. The electrical circuit is designed so that the rolling process can operate automatically and stop precisely without operator intervention. Processing time was measured using the time study method before and after the implementation of the device. The results showed that the manual rolling time of 183.7 seconds decreased to 87.2 seconds with the automatic device. The paired sample t-test produced a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant improvement. The achieved time efficiency of 52.5% proves that the designed electrical system significantly enhances the device’s performance.
