Abstract

Writings or pictures on the tailgate are often displayed, but often people ignore the meaning in them, the pictures on the tailgate itself have many meanings from various social dynamics, especially in society. In this case, the author tries to reveal the meaning in the existing images or writings found on the tailgate through social media. The method used by the author is descriptive qualitative by observing images found on the tailgate sourced from social media and literature studies. The results we get through this research are in the form of various kinds of social problems experienced by the community itself and the benefits obtained from this research are an understanding of the meaning expressed from the writings of intepesonal problems for readers.

Abstract

The songs by Dewa 19, especially “Satu” and “Kangen”, are very attached to their fans from various circles, especially the millennial generation and gen Z. This research aims 1. to find out the diction used in the lyrics of the two songs, as well as 2. to analyze the meaning and 3. relevance of these songs among the younger generation. This research uses descriptive qualitative method by collecting data from sources such as observation of song lyrics on YouTube, journals, and indirect interviews through Google Form. The conclusion of this research is that both songs, “Satu” and “Kangen” have straightforward and emotional diction. In “Satu”, the words create a sense of spirituality and unity, while in “Kangen”, the diction expresses longing and nostalgia. The use of metaphors and hyperbole in the lyrics also enriches the meaning of the songs. The song “Satu” has a connotative meaning while “Kangen” has both lexical and connotative meanings, focusing on unity and the emotion of being separated from a loved one. The reason these songs are popular among the younger generation in East Java is because they are often played in public places such as cafes and coffee shops, and because they are played by their family members. There are also those who say that Dewa 19's songs have immortality.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan bagaimana masyarakat penutur bahasa Jawa dialek Tuban membedakan dan mengelompokkan berbagai aktivitas kaki melalui analisis komponensial. Dalam dialek ini, aktivitas kaki dinyatakan dengan banyak leksem yang menunjukkan cara bergerak, arah gerak, posisi tubuh, serta tujuan tindakan. Data penelitian berupa 22 leksem yang dikumpulkan melalui metode introspeksional, yaitu dengan mengandalkan ingatan dan intuisi peneliti sebagai penutur asli, serta dikonfirmasi melalui wawancara dengan anggota keluarga yang menggunakan dialek yang sama. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa leksem-leksem tersebut terbagi menjadi dua kelompok utama, yaitu aktivitas kaki yang berpotensi menyakiti dan aktivitas kaki yang tidak berpotensi menyakiti. Kelompok pertama terdiri dari delapan leksem, sedangkan kelompok kedua terdiri dari empat belas leksem. Masing-masing kelompok memiliki kesamaan komponen makna pada organ yang digunakan dan tujuan gerakan, tetapi berbeda pada komponen lain seperti posisi kaki, pola gerakan, arah gerak, keseimbangan tubuh, dan objek yang terlibat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penutur dialek Tuban memiliki cara berpikir yang sistematis dalam memahami gerakan kaki dan membedakannya melalui ciri-ciri semantis tertentu. Penelitian ini dapat menambah kajian mengenai makna leksikal, terutama dalam bahasa daerah.
