Abstract

Improving Narrative Writing Ability through Project-Based Learning Model in Class V of SD 131 Bontobana, Bulukumba Regency. Thesis. Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. First supervisor Munirah and second supervisor Abdan Syakur. The main problem in this study is how to improve the ability to write narratives through project-based learning models in class V SD 131 Bontobana Bulukumba Regency. This study aims to determine the improvement of narrative writing ability through project-based learning model in class V SD 131 Bontobana Bulukumba Regency. This research used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method consisting of two cycles where each cycle was carried out three times a meeting. The research procedure includes planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were 22 fifth grade students of SD 131 Bontobana, Bulukumba Regency. The results of this study indicate that in the first cycle that was completed individually out of 22 students only 7 students or 32% met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) or were in the sufficient category. Whereas in cycle II where out of 22 students there were 22 people or 100% had met the KKM or in the very good category. Observations also show that students are more active and motivated in learning. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the ability to write narratives in class V SD 131 Bontobana Bulukumba Regency through a project-based learning model has increased.
