Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes on the topic of flora and fauna in Grade V at SD 1 Sadang through the implementation of the Guided Inquiry learning model with pop-up book media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 19 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed that the application of the Guided Inquiry model accompanied by pop-up book media significantly improved students’ learning outcomes in both cognitive and psychomotor domains. The percentage of cognitive mastery increased from 26% in the pre-cycle to 42% in the first cycle and 79% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, students’ process skills also improved from 53% to 84%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Guided Inquiry model with pop-up book media can enhance IPAS learning outcomes for Grade V students at SD 1 Sadang.
