Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui berpikir kritis dan sikap siswa terhadap bencana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodeeksperimen dengan desain control group pre-test post-test. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes dan lembar observasi untukmengukur berpikir kritis siswa, serta angket untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap bencana. Hasil analisis data penelitian denganteknik uji gain ternormalisasi. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa berpikir kritis dan sikap siswa terhadap bencana yang diajarmenggunakan model bertukar pasangan bervisi SETS lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajar dengan model diskusi klasikal bervisiSETS. This research intent to know thinks critical and student attitude to disaster. This research utilize experiment method with controlsdesign pres group posts test test. Instrument that is utilized is essay and observation sheet to measure thinks critical student, andquestionnaire to know student attitude to disaster. analisiss result research data with tech gains quiz most normalization. Abstract

The fundamental issue is the growing use of scientific information possessed by students to solve problems in daily life and produce useful scientific source from scientific literacy. The purpose of the research was to analyze and describe the ability of a student science concepts from the aspect of scientific literacy that includes aspects of scientific knowledge, scientific competence, scientific context as well as the factors that influence the students’ science literacy skills. This research was quantitative descriptive analysis. The instrument used was a matter of objective 40 along with the reasons of the physics concept and biology concepts that are used to measure aspects of scientific knowledge, scientific competence, and scientific context, while the students’ attitudes towards science and science teaching and learning strategies measured by questionnaire instrument. Instruments used included multiple-choice test questions reasoned and questionnaires (the attitude of science and science teaching and learning strategies). Based on data analysis it was known that the ability of science literacy PGSD UMK students varied, 66.2% of students were at the level of nominal and 33.8% of the students were at the functional level. It showed that 66.2% of students already had a concept for connecting science with other disciplines, could write a scientific term, but students still had misconceptions, while 33.8% of students considered the theory and explained concepts correctly, but they had a limited understanding and were difficult to connect to the concept of his own opinion.

Abstract

This article aims to describe devotion activities to a special school (SLB)’s teachers in Kudus regency about the models of science learning media for children with special needs (ABK). This activity is done by SLB’s teachers in Kudus regency, beginning with need analysis through literature and field study, workshop and mentoring activities, media implementation and product evaluation. The instruments used were interview sheets, observation sheets, questionnaires and test of learning outcomes. Based on the evaluation of practicality aspects, the media was easy to make and easy to use. Based on efficiency aspects, the media was made of safe materials, easy to obtain and affective’s cost. Based on effectiveness, this media was to facilitate teachers to explain the materials to ABK and the learning outcomes increased.Keywords: Science Learning Media, Children With Special Needs

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui penerapan metode pictorial riddle melalui pembelajaran ARCS untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi berprestasi siswa. Metode pictorial riddle yang digunakan adalah jenis komik sains sederhana yang berisi tentang cerita petualangan yang dihubungkan dengan materi sains. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimen dengan desain one shot case study karena tidak ada kelas kontrol. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 4 Rendeng Kudus yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah metode pictorial riddle dengan jenis komik sains yang diterapkan pada model pembelajaran ARCS, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi berprestasi siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t satu sampel yang dibandingkan nilai KKM. Berdasarkan analisis data diketahui bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sebesar 82,75, sedangkan rata-rata motivasi berprestasi siswa sebesar 80,31. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi berprestasi siswa kelas V SD Negeri 4 Rendeng lebih dari atau sama dengan 75. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pictorial riddle melalui pembelajaran ARCS dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi berprestasi siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecakapan personal terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode surveidengan pendekatan korelasional, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan uji regresi, koefisien korelasi dan determinasi.Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 1 Juwana kelas VII tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 dengan sampel kelas VII C. Sampel tersebut diambil secara purposive random sampling.Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains sebagai variabel terikat (Y), sedangkan instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecakapan personal adalah lembar observasi dan lembar aktivitas siswa (LAS) sebagai variabl bebas (X).Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan dengan uji regresi, didapatkan persamaan ? = 1,006 X 10,17 dan didapatkan hasil koefisien korelasi antara kecakapan personal dengan literasi sains siswa (rXY) sebesar 0,56 yang berarti terdapat hubungan positif antara kecakapan personal dengan kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Selain itu, berdasarkan analisis data,diperoleh nilai koefisien determinasi (r2) sebesar 0,314 yang berarti bahwa 31% kemampuan literasi sains dipengaruhi oleh kecakapan personal, sedangkan 69% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah merupakan amanat kurikulum 2013, tetapi belum sepenuhnya dimiliki siswa SD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbasis Socioscientific Issues untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang diterapkan pada kelas eksperimen terhadap pembelajaran langsung yang diterapkan pada kelas kontrol. Penelitian kuantitatif ini berdesain control group pretest posttest,yang diterapkan pada siswa kelas 3 SD Muhammadiyah 1 Kudus sebagai populasi, dimana kelas 3A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas 3B sebagai kelas kontrol yang diambil secara random sampling. Variabel yang diteliti yaitu kemampuan pemecahan masalah, yang diukur dengan instrumen tes. Analisis data yang dilakukan terdiri dari uji normalitas, uji gain, analisis deskriptif kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan uji t pihak kanan untuk menguji hipotesisnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang diterapkan model PBL berbasis SSI lebih baik daripada siswa yang diterapkan dengan pembelajaran langsung. Beradasarkan analisis deskriptif, indikator pemecahan masalah yang mendapat skor terbaik yaitu indikator memahami dan skor terendah indikator mereview dan mengecek kembali solusi. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa model PBL berbasis SSI efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.

Abstract

Computational thinking and scientific literacy are competencies compulsorily required by pre-service primary teachers in the 21st century. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of scientific-based teaching materials that have been developed in improving the computational thinking skills of Primary School Education Department students of UniversitasMuria Kudus Indonesia. This research employed the Research & Development (R & D) procedure, which includes three stages, namely preliminary studies, development, and validation. In the validation stage, the scientific literacy-based materials were applied in large-scale trials with quasi-experimental control groups design for the fourth-semester students of Primary School Education Department in the academic year of 2018/2019, where class 4A as the control group and class 4C as the experimental group were taken randomly. The experimental class consisted of 44 students, while the control class consisted of 46 students. After being given the treatment, the two classes were given a post-test to examine its effectiveness. Based on the hypothesis testing using the right t-test, it has a tcountof 2,215 and ttableof 1.99. Thus, it could be concluded that the teaching materials of the developed scientific literacy concepts were effective in improving the students’ computational thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills and student learning activities. After they applied the Think Talk Write learning models assisted by rotating wheel media on IV- grade students of SDN Talun 01 with 28 research subjects. This type of research was classroom action research. The research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisted of 4 stages, namely, planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The independent variable in this study was the Think Talk Write learning model assisted by the rotating wheel media, and the dependent variable was the skill to think critically. The instruments in this study were tests, interviews, observation, and documentation instruments. Data analysis techniques used in this study were quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. The results of this class action research can be seen from the achievement of the following indicators, namely (1) critical thinking skills, classical completeness of pre-cycle students by 62% (less) and increased on the first cycle by 72% (less), and increased in cycle II by 85% (good). (2) Student learning activities in the first cycle, attitude field, were 73% (less) and increased in the second cycle by 86% (good). Then, student learning activities in the cycle I, skills field were 74% (less) and increased in cycle II by 87% (good). Furthermore, it can be concluded that the application of the Think Talk Write learning model assisted with the 7th theme rotating wheel media about the diverse beauty in my country on IV- grade students of SDN.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop diagnostic questions in measuring student misconceptions and to describe the profile of the misconceptions following students in the science concepts subject in the Motion Systems sub-chapter. This research is part of the research and development (R&D) step in developing a four-level type of diagnostic test item consisting of a preliminary study stage, a development stage, and a validation stage. At this stage of development, the researcher gave open description questions to students of the Primary Educational Teacher Department, Universitas Muria Kudus in semester 3 of the 2018/2019 academic year classes 3C, 3D, 3E, and 3F to find the form of diagnostic questions, find answer options and options for these questions. The instrument is provided as a diagnostic question instrument in the form of a description. Based on data analysis, it is found that it is valid and reliable so that it can be used for research. The proportions of the resulting answers, namely there are four answer choices and four reason choices with portions right, right with a little wrong, right with many wrong answers or reasons. Based on the results of the analysis of misconceptions, it is known that 23.7% of students answered correctly, 6, 3% of students guessed the answer, 38 % of students had misconceptions and 31.6% of students did not understand the concept.
