Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using multiplication puzzles on the mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 29 Banyuanyara. The background of this study is based on the problems of low student learning outcomes in multiplication, lack of interest in learning, and limited variety of learning media used by teachers. This study used an experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 30 students divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data collection techniques were carried out through learning achievement tests, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the use of multiplication puzzles had a positive effect on improving student learning outcomes. Students who learned using puzzles demonstrated a better understanding of multiplication concepts, were more active during learning, and were more enthusiastic in solving math problems. Thus, multiplication puzzles have proven effective as an engaging and interactive learning tool, capable of improving elementary school student learning outcomes.
