Abstract

Sustainable economic development aims to balance economic growth, social welfare, and environmental preservation. In the Islamic economic context, Islamic banks are not only profit-oriented but also serve as instruments for public welfare. This study aims to analyze the impact of Islamic bank financing on sustainable economic development through a case study at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Krakatau Branch, Medan. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach through interviews, observation, and literature review. Primary data were obtained from interviews with three financing clients and one financing officer, while secondary data were collected from BSI reports, OJK publications, and academic literature. The findings show that Islamic financing positively impacts community economic growth, MSME empowerment, and environmentally friendly financing (green financing). The musyarakah and mudharabah contracts enhance business productivity and welfare, while social programs such as qardhul hasan strengthen social solidarity. However, challenges remain in the dominance of consumptive financing and low Islamic financial literacy. Therefore, Islamic financing should be continuously developed in accordance with maqashid al-syariah principles to achieve an inclusive and sustainable economy.

Abstract

Anggaran bahan baku sangat penting dalam kerangka penganggaran perusahaan, terutama Sales budgeting is a key component in corporate financial planning as it serves as the basis for preparing other budgets, including cost and profit budgets. The accuracy of sales budgeting significantly affects the effectiveness of profit planning. This study aims to analyze the role of sales budgets in improving the effectiveness of corporate profit planning through a review of relevant academic journals. The research method employed is a literature review by examining twelve national journals discussing sales budgeting, sales forecasting, and profit planning. The results indicate that sales budgets play a crucial role as the foundation of profit planning, a managerial control tool, and a means of evaluating profit achievement. Furthermore, accurate sales forecasting and the integration of sales budgets into comprehensive budgeting systems enhance the effectiveness of profit planning. Therefore, companies should prepare sales budgets systematically and data-driven to achieve optimal profit targets.

Abstract

This study examines the role of artificial intelligence in developing e-commerce-based banking services in Indonesia through a qualitative approach. The research aims to explore the implementation of AI technology in banking operations, identify benefits and challenges faced, and understand its impact on customer service quality. Using qualitative descriptive methodology with literature review and document analysis, data was collected from scientific journals, national seminar proceedings, and relevant documentation published between 2021-2025. Data analysis employed thematic content analysis to identify key patterns and themes. Findings reveal that AI implementation through chatbots, fraud detection systems, and personalized recommendation engines significantly enhances banking service efficiency and customer experience in e-commerce platforms. Key themes emerged include operational transformation, service quality improvement, regulatory challenges, and data security concerns. The study contributes to understanding AI integration dynamics in digital banking services, particularly in supporting inclusive and sustainable Islamic economic growth. Recommendations include strengthening cybersecurity infrastructure, developing comprehensive regulations through multi-stakeholder collaboration, and enhancing financial literacy programs regarding AI-based banking services.

Abstract

The utilization of local resources into innovative products is one of the efforts in community economic empowerment. This community service activity aims to introduce the use of citronella (Cymbopogon nardus) as a natural ingredient for anti-mosquito spray, while also providing insight into its potential development as an economically valuable product. The activity was carried out in Nagori Bahbiak, Sidamanik District, Simalungun Regency through a participatory approach consisting of observation, socialization, demonstration, and hands-on practice in producing the spray. Approximately 25 women from the community participated and successfully produced around 25 bottles of citronella-based anti-mosquito spray. The results show that the community gained practical knowledge on processing citronella into a product with both functional and economic value, and expressed enthusiasm toward the possibility of developing it into a small home-based business. This activity is expected to encourage the community to make creative and productive use of local potential as an alternative source of household income.
