Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence Generation Z's decision to work in the formal and informal sectors in West Nusa Tenggara. This study adopts a descriptive quantitative approach. The population in this study consists of Generation Z individuals aged 15-26 years who work and have income, with a total population of 968 people. The data used in this study is secondary data from the August 2023 National Survey of the Labor Force (SAKERNAS), obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Nusa Tenggara Province. The population is spread across ten districts/cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province. This study uses logit model analysis. The results showed that income and age had a negative and significant impact. In contrast, residence positively and considerably influenced the decision to work in the formal and informal sectors. Gender (female) also showed a negative and significant influence, while the duration of pre-employment education and training showed a negligible impact.

Abstract

The development of the digital economy requires Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt to modern and efficient payment technologies. This project aims to assist MSMEs selling dodol nangka (jackfruit dodol) in implementing QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) as a cashless payment system. Through the application of QRIS, the transaction process becomes faster, safer and more practical for both consumers and businesses. The stages of the activity include socialising the use of QRIS, registering business accounts, and creating and installing QRIS codes at points of sale. The results of this activity show that the use of QRIS can increase transaction efficiency, reduce dependence on cash, and expand market access for dodol nangka MSMEs. Thus, the implementation of QRIS is a strategic step to encourage digital transformation and support the realisation of a cashless economy at the local level.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the contribution of women entrepreneurs to household economic decision-making, the influence of women entrepreneurs’ bargaining power on household economic decision-making, and the factors affecting household economic decision-making in Semayan Village, Praya District, Central Lombok Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, with primary data as the main source. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, methodological tringulation and time triangulation. The findings reveal that women’s contributions as entrepreneurs influence household economic decision-making and strengthen their bargaining power within the family. Decision-making areas affected include household expenditure management, children’s education, as well as business and investment decisions. However, the level of influence is shaped by intra-household relations, income levels, and prevailing social norms within the community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Investment Value, Production Value and District Minimum Wage on Labor Absorption in the Small and Medium Industry Sector of West Nusa Tenggara Province. The type of research used is quantitative research. The data used is secondary data taken from the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Industry Service. The data collection technique is documents. The data analysis method uses panel data regression using the eviews 9 analysis tool. The panel data in this study is a combination of cross-section data (data from 10 cities/regencies in West Nusa Tenggara Province) and team series data (data from 2019-2023). The results of the data analysis show that the variables Investment Value, Production Value and Provincial Minimum Wage together (simultaneously) have a significant effect on Labor Absorption in the Small and Medium Industry Sector in West Nusa Tenggara Province. Individually (partially), the Investment Value variable and the District Minimum Wage variable have a positive and significant effect on Labor Absorption, while the Production Value variable has a negative and insignificant effect on Labor Absorption in Small and Medium Industries in West Nusa Tenggara Province.

Abstract

Digital education plays a crucial role in the modern era, along with the rapid advancement of technology and the need for digital competencies in various sectors. In Lombok, educational challenges include limited internet access, lack of online learning infrastructure, low quality and competence of teachers in the use of digital media, and lack of continuous training. To answer these problems, Telkomsel initiated the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program through the Skul.id application with the main goal of improving access and quality of digital education, as well as empowering teachers and students on the island of Lombok. The method of implementing community service includes intensive training for teachers on the use of Skul.id platforms, technical and pedagogical assistance, provision of hardware and connectivity, and periodic monitoring and evaluation to ensure sustainability. It is hoped that this program can improve students' literacy and digital skills, improve teachers' teaching methods, and create a learning ecosystem that is inclusive and adaptive to technological developments. Potential impacts include increasing learning motivation, equitable distribution of educational opportunities, and strengthening collaboration between schools, communities, and the digital industry. The success of this program is also expected to be a replication model for similar initiatives in other regions of Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors influencing the decision to engage in a cash waqf in West Nusa Tenggara. This research method employed a quantitative approach with an associative framework. This study did not specify the population size. Accordingly, sampling was performed using a non-probability sampling method, which ultimately resulted in a convenience sample of 230 respondents, as determined by the Lemeshow formula. Religiosity, attitude, and subjective norm are the independent variables, while the decision to cash a waqf is the dependent variable. Awareness and interest serve as a moderating variable. This study utilizes Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to analyze data. The research results indicate that religiosity, attitudes, and subjective norms have a positive but insignificant effect on the decision to cash a waqf. The same result occurs when religiosity, attitudes, and subjective norms are mediated by awareness. However, these three variables positively impact the decision to cash a waqf, with interest as a mediator, and this impact is statistically significant. An adjusted R-Squared value of 0.520 or 52 percent indicated that the variables of religiosity, attitudes, subjective norms, awareness, and interest can explain the variation in the decision to cash waqf, which indicates a moderate model. This result is strong in the context of complex behavioral models, given that many similar studies show Adjusted R-Squared values between 30 and 70 percent.
