Abstract

Abstract: The dynamic development of fashion trends has driven the emergence of various innovative forms in fashion design. Inspiration in the design process often arises from the beauty of nature and surrounding social phenomena. This study focuses on the creation of a digital ready-to- wear deluxe fashion design inspired by the form and beauty of the halfmoon rosetail betta fish. The phenomenon of ornamental fish collecting—particularly betta fish—which has grown excessively, reflects the ever-changing dynamics of public taste. In response to this phenomenon, the concept of this fashion design was developed as an effort to enrich creative collections in the fashion domain and as a form of social reflection, encouraging the public to be more mindful in choosing hobbies. This digital fashion design adopts the unique fin patterns of betta fish through the exploration of artistic pleats. As a visual innovation, the design is developed using surface techniques such as 3D sequins and flounce pleats. The creation method follows the three-stage design process approach, which includes the stages of definition & research, creative exploration, and implementation. The final outcome of this study consists of three digital ready-to-wear deluxe fashion design collections.
