Abstract

This community engagement program aims to enhance digital competencies and visual innovation skills among students in vocational education institutions through training using cloud-based graphic design platforms. In the era of digital transformation, the ability to produce effective visual content has become essential for supporting communication, learning activities, and creative entrepreneurship. The program was delivered through an intensive workshop covering fundamental principles of graphic design, visual communication, and hands-on practice in creating digital media using an online design application. Demonstration-based learning and direct mentoring were employed to ensure participants developed strong understanding of layout, color theory, typography, and visual composition. The results indicate significant improvements in participants’ ability to produce informative, visually appealing, and communication-oriented designs. Additionally, the training fostered creativity, digital literacy, and confidence in utilizing design technology for academic purposes and potential entrepreneurial initiatives. These findings highlight that cloud-based design tools offer an effective strategy for strengthening 21st-century competencies within vocational education settings.

Abstract

This study discusses the importance of scheduling in construction projects, particularly the application of the Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) and the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) to enhance time efficiency and identify critical activities. Project scheduling is a key element that ensures the project progresses according to plan and is completed on time. PDM serves to illustrate the sequence and interrelationships between activities through node representation, allowing the identification of the critical path. Meanwhile, PERT uses a probabilistic approach with three time estimates to anticipate variations and uncertainties in activity durations. A case study of a health center construction project in Banteang Regency demonstrates that the application of PDM and PERT, compared to the S-curve method, can optimize resource allocation, minimize the risk of delays, and ensure scheduling efficiency. With the support of software like Microsoft Project, the implementation of these two methods is expected to improve project control and ensure timely completion.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to various creative industries, including architecture. AI can enhance efficiency and creativity in the design process by assisting in data analysis, concept creation, and developing more innovative design variations. Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, has great potential to explore this technology due to their adaptive digital skills. However, challenges such as copyright issues and dependence on AI remain concerns in its implementation. This community service activity aims to introduce and educate students and young professionals about the utilization of AI in architecture. The methods used include an introductory session, socialization and workshops, as well as reflection and evaluation. The results of this activity indicate that AI can be an effective tool in architectural design but still requires the role of architects to ensure quality, creativity, and sustainability in design. With the right approach, AI can serve as a catalyst for innovation in the architectural field.
