Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) memiliki keterampilan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan industri, khususnya pada bidang front-end development. Namun, masih terdapat kesenjangan antara kompetensi siswa SMK dan tuntutan dunia kerja, terutama dalam penguasaan teknologi framework modern. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan front-end development siswa SMK IT Baitul Aziz Majalaya melalui pelatihan Tailwind CSS sebagai framework CSS berbasis utility-first yang banyak digunakan di industri. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring dan pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama dua hari dengan pembagian materi sesuai tingkat kelas, yaitu pengenalan konsep dasar dan utility class untuk siswa kelas X serta penerapan lanjutan, responsivitas, dan mini project untuk siswa kelas XI. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa dalam membangun antarmuka web yang lebih rapi dan responsif, yang tercermin dari hasil mini project. Selain itu, hasil survei kepuasan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta menilai materi dan pelaksanaan kegiatan sesuai dengan kebutuhan serta berharap kegiatan serupa dapat dilanjutkan. Kegiatan ini juga memperkuat kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi dan sekolah dalam pengembangan pendidikan vokasional berbasis teknologi terkini. Dengan demikian, pelatihan Tailwind CSS dapat menjadi salah satu solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan kesiapan kerja siswa SMK di bidang teknologi informasi.

Abstract

Counseling activities in schools need to be systematically recorded and monitored to ensure thatstudents’ issues and progress are well documented. However, in practice, these processes are often carried outseparately, making it difficult for both schools and parents to effectively monitor student development. This studyaims to design a mobile application prototype to support the recording and monitoring of student counselingactivities. The proposed system involves four main actors: the counselor as the primary manager of counselingdata, the homeroom teacher as the observer of student development, and the parents and the school principal withread-only access to support transparency and reporting. The system is developed using the SDLC with a Prototypemodel approach. Evaluation is conducted through scenario-based functional testing, which shows that the mainfeatures and system workflow are aligned with user needs.
