Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of technology utilization, education level, labor force, investment, and exports on economic growth in Indonesia during the period 2000–2024. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, and the World Bank. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the EViews program. The results indicate that, partially, technology utilization, education level, labor force, investment, and exports do not have a significant effect on Indonesia’s economic growth. Similarly, simultaneously, these five variables also show no significant impact on economic growth. These findings suggest that such fundamental factors require stronger structural policy support and quality improvements in their implementation to make a tangible contribution to national economic growth.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the rupiah exchange rate and inflation rate on the volume of Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports. Non-oil and gas exports play an important role in promoting economic growth, expanding domestic products into international markets, and increasing foreign exchange earnings. Fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate and changes in the inflation rate are macroeconomic factors that may affect the competitiveness of Indonesian export products in the global market. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the extent to which these variables influence the performance of Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from official government publications during the study period. Multiple linear regression analysis is used to examine both the partial and simultaneous effects of the rupiah exchange rate and inflation rate on non-oil and gas export volumes. The results indicate that the rupiah exchange rate has a significant effect on Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports, while the inflation rate has a relatively smaller influence. Simultaneously, both the rupiah exchange rate and inflation rate significantly affect the volume of non-oil and gas exports. These findings suggest that macroeconomic stability, particularly exchange rate management and inflation control, is essential for supporting the growth and performance of Indonesia's non-oil and gas export sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of workforce education levels and economic growth on the unemployment rate in Indonesia. The study uses Indonesian time series data from 1991–2024, with the unemployment rate as the dependent variable and education level and economic growth as independent variables, sourced from the World Bank. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression, preceded by a stationarity test to ensure the validity of the time series data. The results indicate that neither education level nor economic growth significantly influences the unemployment rate in Indonesia, indicating that changes in these two variables have not significantly reduced unemployment during the observation period. Simultaneously, the regression model is able to explain variations in the unemployment rate, but its contribution is limited, indicating that other factors outside the model are more dominant in determining national unemployment dynamics. These findings suggest the need for a more comprehensive employment policy, focusing not only on improving education and economic growth, but also on expanding job opportunities, improving the quality of the labor market, and equitable development across regions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation and economic growth on poverty levels in West Sumatra Province. Poverty remains one of the major development challenges influenced by various macroeconomic factors, including inflation and economic growth. High inflation can reduce people's purchasing power and potentially increase the number of poor residents, while economic growth is expected to create employment opportunities and improve income levels, thereby reducing poverty. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from official publications of the Statistics Indonesia and other relevant sources over a specific observation period. Data analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression to examine the effects of inflation and economic growth on poverty. The results indicate that inflation has a positive effect on poverty levels, whereas economic growth has a negative effect on poverty levels. Simultaneously, inflation and economic growth significantly affect poverty in West Sumatra. These findings suggest that price stability and inclusive economic growth should become key priorities for policymakers in efforts to alleviate poverty.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inflation and unemployment rate on economic growth in Indonesia during the 2021–2025 period. The research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from official government publications. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the effect of each variable on economic growth. The results indicate that inflation and unemployment rate simultaneously affect economic growth in Indonesia. Partially, both inflation and unemployment rate have a negative effect on economic growth. These findings suggest that controlling inflation and reducing unemployment are essential to promote sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Human Development Index (HDI) and Government Expenditure (PP) on economic growth in West Sumatra Province. The data used is panel data covering 19 districts/cities during the 2020–2024 period, with a total of 95 observations. The research data is sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and analyzed using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) through the Panel Least Squares method. The analysis results show that simultaneously, the HDI and government expenditure have a significant influence on economic growth. Partially, the HDI is proven to have a positive and significant effect on economic growth, indicating that improving the quality of human resources through education, health, and public purchasing power plays an important role in driving regional economic growth. Conversely, government expenditure has a positive but insignificant effect on economic growth. These findings indicate that government expenditure in West Sumatra Province has not been fully optimal in driving economic growth during the study period. Therefore, improving the quality of human development is a key factor in accelerating economic growth, while the effectiveness of management and allocation of government expenditure needs to be continuously improved to provide a more optimal impact on the regional economy.
