Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed economic activities and entrepreneurial practices, creating both opportunities and challenges for university graduates. In response to these changes, higher education institutions are expected to foster entrepreneurial attitudes that align with the demands of the digital economy. This study aims to examine the effect of economic education on students’ entrepreneurial attitudes in the era of digital transformation. A quantitative research design was applied using a survey method involving undergraduate students who had completed economic education courses. Data were collected through structured questionnaires that measured learning outcomes in economic education and entrepreneurial attitudes, including creativity, innovation, risk-taking, opportunity recognition, and adaptability to digital technologies. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis to assess the relationship between economic education and entrepreneurial attitudes. The findings show that economic education has a positive and significant effect on students’ entrepreneurial attitudes. Students with higher levels of economic understanding tend to demonstrate stronger entrepreneurial characteristics that support innovation and adaptability in digitally driven business environments. These results indicate that economic education is important not only for strengthening students’ economic knowledge but also for developing the entrepreneurial mindset needed to respond to the challenges of the digital era. The study also reinforces the link between economic education and entrepreneurship in the setting of digital transformation. In practical terms, the findings may serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing economic education programs that are more oriented toward entrepreneurship in higher education.

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystems play an important role in maintaining the balance of coastal environments and sustaining the livelihoods of communities living in coastal areas. However, limited public awareness of the ecological functions and benefits of mangroves has repeatedly contributed to coastal environmental degradation. This community service program aimed to strengthen the environmental awareness of Pari Island residents, Thousand Islands, through a mangrove conservation education program. A participatory approach was employed by directly involving the community in various educational activities and conservation practices. The main activities included environmental outreach on the importance of mangrove ecosystems, group discussions on mangrove conservation efforts, and mangrove planting along the coastline. A total of 35 participants consisting of local residents, fishermen, and youth groups took part in this program. Evaluation was conducted through observation, interviews, and pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure changes in participants' knowledge and awareness regarding mangrove conservation. The results demonstrated a measurable improvement in participants' understanding of mangrove functions and benefits following the education program. The program also encouraged community participation in coastal conservation efforts and fostered collective awareness of the importance of sustaining mangrove ecosystems. Community-based participatory education programs of this nature warrant serious consideration as a strategy for supporting sustainable mangrove conservation in coastal areas.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of digital technology utilization on the learning outcomes of Economics Education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed to collect data from 100 Economics Education students selected using simple random sampling with a 5 percent error level. Data were gathered through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression analysis. The results of validity and reliability tests indicate that all research instruments are valid and reliable. The findings reveal that digital technology utilization has a positive and significant effect on students' learning outcomes, as evidenced by a regression coefficient of 0.623 and a significance value below 0.05. The coefficient of determination shows that digital technology utilization explains 38.8 percent of the variance in learning outcomes. These results suggest that the effective use of digital technology contributes meaningfully to improving academic performance in Economics Education learning. The study highlights the importance of integrating digital technology pedagogically to enhance learning effectiveness in higher education.
