Abstract

The result of this research is (1) design stage English learning media vocabulary subject matter in grade V students of SDN 298 Cabalu, development method, namely the multimedia development life cycle (MDLC). This research aims to develop a more interesting and efficient learning so that it namely with the input design stage, namely Unified Modeling Language (UML), namely, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and statechart diagrams as well as output design using macromedia flash 8 software. (2)This mathematics learning media is implmented to grade V students of SDN 298 wich can be used in the learning procces as a new learning medium and has been validated with the results of the blackbox test and all buttons or icons work according to their functions. (3)The students learning motivation when using English learning media, the subject matter of vocabulary for class V SDN 298 Cabalu, is in the “MEDIUM” category, while after using learning media the level of learning is in the “HIGH” category. This can be seen from the average score of learning motivation before the use of learning media is “27,33” and after use of learning media the average score of student learning motivation is “46,73”

Abstract

- This research aims to: (1) Designing a home fire detection and extinguishing device using an arduino uno-based water pump. (2) Knowing how sensors and microcontrollers work in the prototype of detecting and extinguishing house fires using an arduino uno-based water pump. The method used in this research is prototyping. The stages in the prototype method are collecting requirements, building prototypes, evaluating prototypes, coding systems, testing systems, evaluating systems, using systems. The results of the research show that: (1) The prototype of a home fire detection and extinguishing system using an arduino uno based water pump is designed using a system block diagram consisting of inputs, processes, output where inputs are flame sensors and MQ-2 sensors, processes, are arduino, relay and sim 800l gsm modules and outputs are buzzers, water pumps and call to cellphones. (2) This prototype was made using two sensors, namely the flame sensor and the MQ-2 sensor as inputs that can work properly where the flame sensor functions as a fire detector and the MQ-2 sensor as a smoke detector in every room. Each sensor produces an output in the form of a digital value or number, namely 1 and 0. This value is used as a condition on the Arduino Uno to produce output in the form of a buzzer, water pump and call.
