Abstract

Objectives: To examine the effects of work motivation and work communication on employee performance at the Department of Communication and Informatics of East Kalimantan Province. Methods: Quantitative research involving 94 employees selected through simple random sampling, analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. Research Gap/Novelty: Integrates motivational and communication factors to explain employee performance within provincial government institutions. Results: Work motivation (p = 0.035) and work communication (p = 0.038) significantly influenced employee performance, both individually and simultaneously. Conclusion: Strengthening employee motivation and organizational communication is essential for improving performance in public sector institutions.
