Abstract

Indonesian language learning at the high school level is very important in developing students' language skills. Repetition is one of the important forms of language style in literary and musical works because it can strengthen meaning, create rhythm, and enhance the aesthetics of language. This study aims to analyze the repetition in the album Berdamai by Ghea Indrawari which was released in 2024 and to determine its relevance to the development of poetry teaching materials in high school grade X. The method used in this study is a literature review with listening, reading, and note-taking techniques as a method of data collection. Primary data are in the form of song lyrics contained in the Berdamai album, while secondary data include Indonesian language textbooks for grade X, research journal articles, and information from online media. Data analysis techniques used include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that seven types of repetition language styles were found in the Berdamai album, namely 8 alliteration data, 23 assonance data, 6 anaphora data, 4 epistrophe data, 13 epizeukis data, 3 mesodiplosis data, and 2 simploke data. The use of this repetition language style aims to build expressive power, strengthen messages, and create emotional rhythms in song lyrics. The results of this study also prove that this repetition language style is relevant to the development of poetry teaching materials in high school, especially class X.
