Abstract

Adaptasi sosio-ekologi merujuk pada kemampuan masyarakat untuk beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan dan mengintegrasikan aspek sosial dan ekologis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sementara itu, etika lingkungan menekankan pada tanggung jawab moral manusia dalam memperlakukan alam dan makhluk hidup lainnya dengan hormat dan adil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana adaptasi sosial-ekologi masyarkat Jalan Tirtamadu terhadap pembangunan PT. INDO JAYA AGRINUSA (JAVA). Metode peenelitian ini menggunakan analisis kualitatif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan fokus pada teori interaksionisme simbolik untuk memahami bagaimana masyarakat membentuk makna dan simbol terhadap perubahan sosial ekologis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembangunan PT. INDO JAYA AGRINUSA telah meningkatkan perekonomian beberapa warga dengan memberikan pekerjaan, namun juga meningkatkan ketidak nyamanan masyarakat akibat bau tidak sedap dan peningkatan populasi lalat. Konflik sosial timbul karena warga merasa tertipu dan di bohongi oleh PT yang menyebabkan demostrasi dan permohonan resmi ke Instansi terkait. Masyarakat beradqaptasi dengan menggunakan lem lalat untuk mengurangi jumlah lalat, meskipun masih merasa resah. Musyawarah bersama elem-elemen lokal belum membuahkan hasil yang optimal, dan masyarakat gterus mengalami dampak lingkungan buruk. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi PT. INDO JAYA AGRINUSA untuk meningkatkan transparasi dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam proses pembangunan, serta mengambil langkah-langkah konkrt untuk mengurangi dampak negatif dari operasional mereka.

Abstract

This study examines the role of gender mainstreaming in the implementation of entrepreneurship training programs conducted by the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Office in Tanjungpinang City. The program aims to empower women, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds, by enhancing their skills, fostering self-confidence, and promoting gender equality. This qualitative study utilizes interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques, with training participants and program facilitators serving as primary informants. The findings reveal that the program integrates gender mainstreaming principles by providing practical skill training, such as sewing and baking, alongside knowledge in digital marketing, financial management, and risk management. The initiative has been effective in equipping participants to manage micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), while also enhancing their economic independence and family welfare. However, the study also identifies challenges, such as participants’ entrenched patriarchal mindsets and limited support from families or communities. To address these barriers, the program emphasizes community-based approaches and includes follow-up mentoring to ensure sustainability. Overall, this study highlights the significant positive impact of entrepreneurship training on women’s empowerment and underscores its strategic role in advancing gender equality and local economic development.

Abstract

Numeracy is an important skill that elementary school students must have, but in reality it is still relatively low because learning tends to be conventional and less contextual. Numeracy does not only include the ability to count, but also the ability to understand, use, and interpret numbers and data in various daily life contexts. One of the causes of low student numeracy is a learning approach that is less interesting and not related to real situations. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the contextual learning model (Contextual Teaching and Learning/CTL) in improving students' mathematical numeracy skills. The research design used was a one-group pretest-posttest experiment with 23 fifth-grade students of SDN 002 Teluk Bintan as subjects. The instrument in the form of a numeracy test was given before and after the implementation of CTL, then the data were analyzed using prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity) followed by a paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase in students' numeracy skills. The average pretest score of 24.78 increased to 73.91 in the posttest with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. This increase proves that CTL is effective in helping students master numeracy through a learning process that links mathematical concepts with real experiences. Thus, the contextual learning model can be an alternative learning strategy that is relevant for increasing elementary school students' numeracy, while emphasizing the importance of implementing a more applicable approach in mathematics learning.
