Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the digital teaching materials used in  the Be-Smart  UNY LMS course on Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Strategy based on students' perceptions and experiences. This study uses the Kirkpatrick evaluation model which consists of four levels, namely (1) reaction, (2) learning, (3) behavior, and (4) results. However, this study evaluates at two levels, namely (a) reaction evaluation and (b) learning evaluation. This research is equipped with a mix-method research approach, namely quantitative to find out learning outcomes and qualitative to find out the respondents' experience. The selection of this research method aims to evaluate the Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Strategy lecture using digital teaching materials integrated in  the Be-Smart LMS based on student experience. Data collection in this study was by collecting data from the results of the questionnaire, namely distributing questionnaires through Google Form to get responses from students to the use  of the Be-Smart LMS for students in the Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Strategy course. The overall results of the responses of most students agreed and even strongly agreed that  the Be-Smart page: (a) is easy to access with a score of 48.3%, (b) makes it easier to administer assignments with a score of 44.8%, and the assessment of features in Be-Smart is in accordance with learning needs with a score of 51.7%, as well as  the Be-Smart pageeasily accessible using mobile devices with a score of 62.1%. The results of this evaluation conclude that the digital teaching materials and features on the Be-Smart  page are very easy to apply through mobile devices so as to support the learning of the Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Strategy course offline and online.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Permasalahan prioritas yang ditemukan yakni perihal kesulitan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran interaktif dan mempublikasikan praktik baik hasil pembelajaran tersebut melalui artikel ilmiah. Oleh karena itu, program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan keterampilan guru mitra dalam pengembangan multimedia interaktif berbasis artificial intelligence, dan (2) meningkatkan keterampilan guru mitra dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah dengan tema implementasi media pembelajaran di sekolah. Mitra sasaran dari program PkM ini adalah mitra non-produktif, yaitu para guru di SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta sejumlah 94 guru. Program pelatihan tersebut dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan pada bulan Oktober hingga Desember 2024. Pertemuan secara daring bauran dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25-26 November 2024. Kemudian pertemuan secara luring dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16 Desember 2024. Metode yang diterapkan dalam program PkM ini menggunakan model pembelajaran partisipatif dan project based learning (PjBL) dengan ceramah, diskusi interaktif, praktik, dan pendampingan terstruktur. Materi yang disampaikan adalah: (1) Padlet sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis AI; (2) penyusunan artikel ilmiah yang dilengkapi dengan materi pedoman pemilihan jurnal ilmiah bereputasi dan panduan pengiriman naskah ke jurnal. Hasil pelaksanaan program menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan guru terhadap AI yang dapat digunakan untuk menyusun media pembelajaran interaktif dan membantu penulisan artikel ilmiah. Saran yang dapat diberikan kepada tim pengabdi lainnya adalah masih perlu pelatihan tentang berbagai jenis AI penunjang pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif selain Padlet. Kemudian, perlu pendampingan secara terstruktur dengan durasi waktu yang lebih lama untuk membantu guru menyusun artikel ilmiah secara utuh hingga sampai pada tahap mempublikasikannya. Kata kunci: artikel ilmiah; media pembelajaran interaktif; artificial intellegence ABSTRACT The primary problems identified were the difficulties faced by teachers in creating interactive learning media and publishing best practices of learning outcomes through scientific articles. Therefore, this community service program aimed to (1) improve the skills of partner teachers in developing interactive multimedia based on artificial intelligence, and (2) enhance their abilities in writing scientific articles on the implementation of learning media in schools. The target partners of this program are non-productive partners, namely teachers at SMK Negeri 5 Yogyakarta with a total of 94 teachers. The training program was implemented over a period of three months, from October to December 2024. Online sessions were conducted on November 25–26, 2024, followed by an offline meeting on December 16, 2024. The methods used in this community service program included participatory learning and project-based learning (PjBL), with activities such as lectures, interactive discussions, hands-on practice, and structured mentoring. The materials presented were: (1) the use of Padlet as an AI-based interactive learning media alternative, and (2) the preparation of scientific articles, supported by guidelines for selecting reputable scientific journals and submitting manuscripts. The results of the program showed an increase in teachers’ understanding of AI tools that can be used to develop interactive learning media and assist in writing scientific articles. It is recommended that future service programs continue to provide training on various types of AI tools to further support the creation of interactive learning media beyond Padlet. Additionally, structured and extended mentoring is needed to support teachers in fully developing scientific articles until they reach the publication stage. Keywords: scientific articles; interactive learning media; artificial intelligence
