Abstract

Precision medicine is a rapidly growing paradigm in the understanding of disease, especially in pediatric medicine. This article evaluates significant advances in genomics and gene-based technologies, and their impact on personalized diagnosis and therapy for children. The integration of genetics with epidemiology opens up new opportunities in understanding gene-environment interactions and disease disparities, which have a direct impact on childhood disease management. Nevertheless, challenges such as equitable access to genetic innovation worldwide still need to be overcome. Recommendations include improved research methods, cross-country collaboration, as well as assessment of long-term effects and greater patient involvement in clinical decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the main activities involved in public health preparedness for a global pandemic. These activities include strong supervision and monitoring, comprehensive risk assessment, adequate resource allocation, comprehensive emergency response planning, global coordination, training and capacity building, effective communication and information sharing, and continuous evaluation and improvement. In addition, strategies to ensure health system flexibility are also considered, including health service infrastructure and capacity building, health system strengthening, a multi-sector approach, an all-threat approach, flexibility in infrastructure design, and effective resource allocation and mobilization. By implementing these strategies, it is hoped that health systems can increase their resilience, responsiveness and ability to meet the needs of affected populations during the global pandemic.

Abstract

Health behavior and promotion are key factors in reducing morbidity and mortality in children under five years of age, which remains a significant challenge worldwide. Factors such as stunting, malnutrition, acute respiratory infections (ARI), diarrhea, and pneumonia contribute to this problem. This study aims to explore the role of parental involvement in community-based health promotion programs in reducing morbidity and mortality in children under five years. The method used is a systematic literature review with the PRISMA approach, identifying and analyzing articles from reputable international databases. Findings show that parental involvement can significantly increase the effectiveness of health programs, with a positive impact on reducing child morbidity and mortality rates. The implications of this research emphasize the need for policies that support community-based prevention programs, integration of health strategies with parental involvement, and increased awareness of the role of parents in children's health.
