Abstract

This study investigates the determinants influencing the adoption of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems among mobile micro-enterprises in Makassar, Indonesia. Drawing upon the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) extended with two contextual constructs Energy Needs and Ease & Support the research employs a quantitative cross-sectional design involving 30 mobile coffee vendors. Reliability and regression analyses confirm the model’s robustness, indicating that Perceived Usefulness, Technology Acceptance, and Energy Needs significantly predict the intention to adopt PV systems, while Ease & Support shows no significant effect. The study extends the application of TAM to the informal micro-enterprise context, which has rarely been explored in renewable energy adoption research. Findings highlight that perceived economic benefits and energy necessity outweigh technical convenience in shaping adoption behavior. This suggests that micro-entrepreneurs’ motivation is primarily driven by practicality and efficiency rather than ease of use. The results provide policy insights for promoting inclusive green transitions through targeted micro-financing, technical training, and supportive urban regulations for small mobile vendors. Overall, this pilot investigation offers a validated framework for future empirical studies on renewable energy adoption within developing-country micro-enterprise sectors.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam proses produksi visual, termasuk rendering gambar 3D. Di sisi lain, kebutuhan industri kreatif menuntut lulusan SMK untuk memiliki kompetensi yang sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi tersebut. Artikel ini membahas implementasi aplikasi render gambar 3D berbasis AI pada siswa SMK di Kota Makassar melalui program pengabdian masyarakat. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan, workshop praktik, dan pendampingan proyek mandiri menggunakan platform rendering berbasis AI. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep rendering modern, percepatan waktu produksi visual, serta peningkatan kualitas output desain. Program ini juga membuka peluang bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan portofolio yang lebih kompetitif. Implementasi ini membuktikan bahwa integrasi AI dapat menjadi alternatif efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran vokasi di bidang desain dan multimedia.

Abstract

The limited green space in densely populated residential areas often results in the emergence of slum-like, poorly organized alleys with minimal productive use of space. This problem was found on Jl. Pramuka Dukuh Bacem, Grogol District, Sukoharjo Regency, which has residential alleys with minimal vegetation and lack of environmental aesthetic value. This community service activity aims to revitalize residential alleys through urban farming-based herbal plant cultivation with a vertical system using recycled planting media. The implementation method is carried out through the stages of site observation, problem identification with partners, planning herbal plant installations, preparation of tools and materials, installation of vertical planting media, planting herbal plants, and program evaluation based on community surveys. The herbal plants used include lemongrass, mint, betel, basil, and aloe vera, which were selected based on their ease of care and benefits to the community. The results of the activity showed a significant change in the environmental condition of the alleys, which previously looked slum-like to become greener, cleaner, and more aesthetic. In addition to improving the visual quality of the environment, this program also increased community participation in maintaining cleanliness and the productive use of narrow spaces. Evaluation results for 12 households showed improvements in environmental cleanliness, the presence of green vegetation, road user comfort, and community use of herbal plants. This program demonstrates that implementing herbal-based urban farming can be a simple and sustainable solution for revitalizing densely populated residential areas.
