Abstract

Background: Early marriage remains a social problem influenced by community norms, family pressure, and low psychological readiness of adolescents. Objective: This study aims to describe the role of community-based psychological services in preventing early marriage among adolescents through the Village G Children's Forum. Method: The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with adolescents aged 12–17 years who are members of the Children's Forum as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and qualitative psychoeducational assessments. Analysis was conducted using thematic analysis with data triangulation. The results showed that before the intervention, early marriage was perceived as a normal practice, accompanied by low future orientation and adolescent self-efficacy. Result: After the intervention, adolescents showed increased awareness of the psychological impacts of early marriage and the importance of psychological readiness in life decision-making. Conclusion: This study concludes that community-based psychological services through the Children's Forum play an effective early preventive role in increasing adolescents' awareness and critical reflection on early marriage.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between the meaning of work and the work motivation of elementary school teachers, particularly during the enjoyable transition period from early childhood education to elementary school. During this phase, teachers are required to create an adaptive, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment for children who have just entered elementary school. Teachers' acceptance of the meaning of their work is an important factor in encouraging their work motivation. This study employs a quantitative approach using correlational techniques. The research subjects are 82 first-grade elementary school teachers involved in the student transition process from preschool to elementary school. The research instruments consist of scales measuring the meaning of work and work motivation. Data were analyzed using Spearman Brown correlation techniques. The results of the study indicate a positive and significant relationship between the meaning of work and teachers' work motivation. The higher the meaning teachers perceive in their work, the higher their work motivation. This finding underscores the importance of strengthening the meaning of work in enhancing teachers' work motivation during this critical transition phase. Keywords: elementary education; elementary school teachers; meaning of work; work; transition from preschool to elementary school; work motivation Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara meaning of work dengan motivasi kerja guru sekolah dasar khususnya pada masa transisi menyenangkan dari PAUD ke SD. Pada fase ini, guru dituntut untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang adaptif, mendukung, dan menyenangkan bagi anak-anak yang baru saja memasuki jenjang sekolah dasar. Penerimaan guru terhadap makna pekerjaannya menjadi faktor penting dalam mendorong motivasi kerja mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional. Subjek penelitian adalah 82 guru kelas 1 sekolah dasar yang terlibat dalam proses transisi siswa dari pembelajaran anak usia dini ke sekolah dasar. Instrumen penelitian berupa skala meaning of work dan motivasi kerja. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman Brown. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara meaning of work dan motivasi kerja guru. Semakin tinggi makna yang dirasakan guru terhadap pekerjaannya, semakin tinggi pula motivasi kerjanya. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan makna kerja dalam meningkatkan motibasi kerja guru selama fase transisi penting ini. Abstract

Abstract This study was motivated by the pleasant transition policy from early childhood education to elementary school, which has generated different perceptions among teachers. This study aimed to determine if there is a relationship between teachers' perceptions of the policy and their work motivation in elementary schools. The study employed a quantitative correlational approach using the Spearman Brown technique with 82 first-grade teachers in Surabaya. Data were collected using manual and digital questionnaires via Google Forms. The results indicate a relationship between perceptions of the transition policy and work motivation. Teachers with a positive perception of the policy tend to be highly motivated at work. Conversely, low work motivation tends to accompany negative perceptions. Keywords: Teachers, Work Motivation, Perception, Elementary Schools Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebijakan transisi menyenangkan dari pendidikan anak usia dini ke sekolah dasar yang menimbulkan berbagai persepsi dikalangan guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah adanya hubungan antara persepsi guru terhadap kebijakan transisi yang menyenangkan pada motivasi kerja guru sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan menggunakan Teknik Spearman Brown pada partisipan berjumlah 82 guru kelas 1 di Surabaya. Instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner angket manual serta digital menggunakan google form. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya hubungan antara variabel persepsi dengan motivasi kerja pada kebiajkan transisi yang menyenangkan, guru yang memiliki persepsi yang positif pada kebijakan transisi akan cenderung memiliki motivasi kerja yang tinggi. Sebaliknya, jika persepsi yang dihasilkan negating maka motivasi kerja cenderung rendah. Kata kunci: Guru, Motivasi Kerja, Persepsi, Sekolah Dasar, Transisi Menyenangkan
