Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how character education is applied in the formation of a greeting culture, and how the character of students is formed in the cultural system. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with an ethnographic research design. The data collection technique is done through observation and in-depth interviews. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Miles and Huberman model with three stages. Namely: a. Data reduction. b. Data Presentation. c. Conclusion Withdrawal. Character education through the culture of saying greetings at the Al-Ishlah Islamic Boarding School turned out to produce santri characters who can love each other with their fellow Muslims, have a polite and courteous attitude, and have a ta'dzim attitude towards kyai, asatidz, and older people. Abstract

This study aims to empirically test the variables outlined in the research questions, specifically whether there is a significant relationship between educational facilities and infrastructure (X) and new student interest (Y). A simple random sample of 193 students was selected from a population of 450 students at SD Plus Al-Ishlah and SDN Taman 01 Bondowoso. Simple linear regression analysis was employed to analyze the data, using SPSS version 23 for statistical analysis. The results indicate a significant and positive influence of educational facilities and infrastructure on new student interest. This is supported by the calculated r-value being greater than the critical r-value (11.349 > 1.960). However, the coefficient of correlation is relatively low at 40.3%, suggesting that while there is a relationship, other factors may also contribute to new student interest. The level of significance is 5%. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha), which states that there is a significant and positive relationship between educational facilities and infrastructure and new student interest, is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a mitigation model for the crisis of Qur’anic literacy amid the rise of superficial Islamic content on TikTok. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach with a library research design, analyzing and synthesizing relevant literature from reputable journals, books, and reports published over the last five years. The findings reveal that the popularity of TikTok content, which often prioritizes entertainment and visual appeal over substance, significantly impacts the depth of Qur’anic understanding among Generation Z. Based on the synthesis of the literature, this study proposes a crisis mitigation model using the principles of Islamic education management—planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling (POAC). The proposed model emphasizes digital Qur’anic literacy programs, curated content, and capacity-building initiatives for educators and content creators to produce engaging yet substantive Islamic content. This research contributes to the field of Islamic education by offering a conceptual framework for integrating digital literacy with Qur’anic learning, particularly in addressing the challenges posed by social media. Although limited to conceptual analysis, this study provides practical recommendations for educational institutions, teachers, and digital da’wah practitioners to strengthen Qur’anic literacy among young Muslims.
