Abstract

This research is driven by teacher discipline challenges at SMP Negeri 21 Muaro Jambi, primarily caused by geographical constraints and difficult road access. This study aims to analyze the principal's strategies, identify the supporting and inhibiting factors, and evaluate the effectiveness of their implementation. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The findings reveal that the principal's strategies involve exemplary leadership, motivational support, fostering teamwork, mandatory lesson plan (RPP) preparation, and the enforcement of a reward and punishment system, including fines for tardiness. Key supporting factors include decisive leadership and a harmonious work environment, whereas poor road infrastructure remains the primary obstacle. In conclusion, these strategies effectively enhance teachers' disciplinary commitment. The study suggests integrating digital attendance systems to optimize performance evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies implemented by orphanage administrators in instilling religious values in foster children. The cultivation of religious values is an important aspect in shaping the character and personality of children Abu Bakar Sari, especially those living in orphanages. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of orphanage administrators and foster children. The results indicate that the strategies used by orphanage administrators in instilling religious values include habituation of religious activities, exemplary behavior of administrators, providing advice, as well as continuous supervision and guidance. Supporting factors in the implementation of these strategies include the commitment of administrators, a religious-oriented orphanage environment, and adequate facilities. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include differences in the backgrounds of foster children and limited time availability of administrators. Therefore, the strategies applied by orphanage administrators play an important role in instilling religious values and shaping the religious character of foster children.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of educational facilities and infrastructure in supporting the quality of learning. However, the condition at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Ihsan, Batang Hari Regency, shows that the availability and feasibility of facilities and infrastructure are still not optimal and uneven. The main problem of this study is the strategy of the principal in improving the quality of educational facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to describe the condition of facilities and infrastructure, analyze the principal’s management strategies, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively. The results show that facilities and infrastructure are relatively adequate but not optimal, especially in sports facilities, learning media, and supporting facilities. The principal’s strategies have been implemented participatively through planning, procurement, utilization, and maintenance, but weaknesses remain in inventory, storage. And disposal. Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of developing students’ disciplinary character in education, which is influenced by the principal’s policies. At SMA Negeri 3 Tungkal Jaya, efforts to build students’ discipline have been implemented; however, they have not been carried out optimally. Various violations are still found, such as tardiness, lack of neatness, and low awareness of school rules. Therefore, this study aims to identify the principal’s policies, the types of violations that occur, and the obstacles in developing students’ disciplinary character. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research design. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Tungkal Jaya, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The research subjects include the principal, vice principal, teachers, and students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively to describe the actual conditions related to the principal’s policies in shaping students’ disciplinary character. The results show that the principal’s policies in developing students’ disciplinary character have been implemented through school rules, sanctions, and habituation of disciplined activities. However, the implementation has not been optimal due to several obstacles, such as differences in students’ backgrounds, environmental and social media influences, and the lack of parental support and supervision. These factors cause the development of students’ disciplinary character to not yet be fully achieved optimally.
