Abstract

This study aims to analyse social capital-based educational leadership strategies in improving the culture of educational quality. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review design. Data collection was conducted through literature study, then analysed using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and thematic conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that social capital-based leadership strategies are realised through: (1) strengthening internal collaboration between teachers and educational staff through learning communities and joint reflection; (2) instilling quality values and organisational norms in the form of collective commitment and mutual cooperation; (3) active involvement of parents and strengthening the role of school committees; and (4) developing external partnerships to expand support networks and resources. These strategies strengthen the structural, relational, and cognitive dimensions of social capital, which have an impact on increasing organisational cohesion, trust, participation, and consistency in the application of quality standards. The research findings confirm that social capital-based educational leadership is capable of transforming a culture of quality from a mere administrative requirement into a collective value that is internalised in the daily practices of the school. The implications of this research emphasise the importance of the headteacher as an agent of social relations and an orchestrator of collaboration in creating a sustainable, adaptive, and participatory culture of quality.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of cultivating future navigation in Islamic educational leadership in madrasas amidst the challenges of the digital era. The study employed a qualitative approach with library research sourced from various scientific literature from the past five years. Data were collected through a systematic search of academic databases and then analyzed using content analysis and thematic analysis techniques. The results indicate that future navigation in educational leadership is a strategic ability to interpret change, design a long-term vision, and manage uncertainty adaptively and innovatively. Islamic educational leadership in madrasas is characterized by the integration of spiritual values with modern managerial practices. However, in its implementation, madrasa leadership faces various challenges, such as low digital literacy, limited technological infrastructure, and resistance to changes in organizational culture. Therefore, a strategy is needed to cultivate future navigation through strengthening vision, developing an adaptive organizational culture, enhancing human resource competencies, Islamic value-based digital transformation, and participatory and data-driven leadership. This research provides a theoretical contribution to the development of a visionary, adaptive, and sustainable model of Islamic educational leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the visibility of educational leadership that integrates ecotheological values with the demands of the digital era within the framework of strengthening an organizational culture of quality. The current global environmental crisis is viewed not merely as a technical problem but as a moral and spiritual crisis of modern humanity trapped in an anthropocentric worldview. Using a descriptive qualitative method through a library research approach, this study explores how educational leaders utilize digital technology to transform theological discourse into concrete actions for environmental conservation. The results indicate that the visibility of ecotheological leadership in the digital era can be optimized through three main strategies: (1) the utilization of digital leadership as an instrument for communicating values through e-learning platforms, interactive simulations, and social media to build an environmentally conscious institutional image; (2) the implementation of an integrative curriculum and eco-prophetic education that connects spiritual responsibility with twenty-first-century skills such as STEM and digital literacy; and (3) the application of an inclusive transformational leadership model, including strengthening the role of women’s leadership, which tends to be more collaborative and participatory in fostering an ecological quality culture. In conclusion, the synergy between eschatological awareness and proactive digital innovation becomes a key factor for educational leaders to carry out their role as khalifah in maintaining the balance between humans, nature, and God amid global disruption.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the eco-theological orientation in Islamic educational leadership as a normative response to the contemporary ecological crisis. Drawing on key Islamic concepts such as khalifah, amanah, ihsan, mizan, and the prohibition against fasad, this study seeks to formulate a leadership framework that positions ecological concern as an integral part of the educational mission of Islamic educational institutions. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research to examine books, journal articles, policy documents, and Islamic literature related to Islamic educational leadership, Islamic eco-theology, environmental education, and sustainable education, analyzed through content analysis and thematic synthesis. The findings indicate that an eco-theological orientation can be integrated into Islamic educational leadership through the refinement of vision and mission, the development of an environmentally friendly curriculum and school culture, and the exemplary role of leaders as agents of ecological change; this article offers conceptual principles of eco-theologically oriented Islamic educational leadership as a foundation for the development of policies and institutional practices in schools and madrasahs.

Abstract

This study addresses the role and influence of school principals' leadership in improving the quality of education in schools. Although many studies highlight the importance of school principals' leadership, challenges remain in optimizing this role, especially in responding to the dynamic and evolving educational  landscape.  Therefore,  this  research  aims  to  systematically  review  previous  studies  on  school  principals'  leadership  andits  impact  on educational quality. The method used is a systematic literature review following the PRISMA approach, involving the search and selection of literature based on inclusion criteria and employing the PICO method to ensure the relevance and quality of data sources. Data were collected from national scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025 through the Google Scholar platform. The analysis synthesizes research findings related to leadership functions, leadership styles, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in improving educational quality. The results indicate that school principals play a central role as managers, supervisors, motivators, and innovators capable of creating a conducive learning  environment  and  enhancing  teacher  professionalism.  Adaptive  and  visionary  leadership  has  proven  effective  in  addressing  educational challenges, including those posed by the pandemic. Abstract

Strengthening the paradigm of eco-theological-based educational leadership is important in this era of disruption marked by technological developments and increasing environmental crises. This study aims to examine the integration of theological and ecological values in educational leadership. The study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method through the analysis of various relevant books, journal articles, and academic documents. The results of the study show that the eco-theological paradigm of educational leadership integrates a theocentric perspective that places God as the source of moral and spiritual values and an ecocentric perspective that emphasizes a harmonious relationship between humans and nature. The integration of these two perspectives encourages ethical awareness in preserving the environment through the development of an environmentally-friendly curriculum and the formation of a green school culture. This approach is expected to encourage adaptive educational leadership practices that are oriented towards environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the application of visionary leadership in enhancing the culture of quality in Islamic education within madrasahs. Visionary leadership is regarded as a future-oriented leadership style, characterised by the ability to formulate a clear and inspiring vision, and to mobilise all elements of the madrasah towards a shared goal. The research method employed was a literature review, examining various relevant literature, research findings, and theories concerning visionary leadership, a culture of quality, and the context of Islamic education. The findings indicate that the visionary leadership of madrasah heads plays a strategic role in strengthening educational quality through systematic planning, the development of a vision and mission grounded in Islamic values, the strengthening of organisational culture, and the effective management of resources. Furthermore, visionary leadership also fosters the professional development of teachers, student achievement, and the integration of spiritual and moral values into every aspect of educational governance. The implications of this research underscore the importance of strengthening the strategic leadership competencies of madrasah heads through continuous training, the development of collaborative networks, and the implementation of internal quality management systems. Thus, the formulation of visionary leadership can serve as a transformative paradigm in building a culture of excellence in Islamic madrasah education that is of high quality, integrity, and adaptable to global challenges.
