Abstract

The full-day school program is designed to extend students' learning time in order to optimize the learning process and the comprehensive development of competencies. The evaluation of the full day school program at SD NU Nawa Kartika needs to be conducted thoroughly to determine whether the program being implemented aligns with educational objectives. This research aims to evaluate the Full Day School program at SD NU Nawa Kartika using the CIPP evaluation model. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires and interviews involving teachers and students as respondents to obtain a comprehensive picture of the program's implementation. Data analysis techniques were conducted quantitatively and qualitatively using Microsoft Excel, focusing on the program's effectiveness based on indicators of student engagement, learning quality, and stakeholder satisfaction. The evaluation results show that the Full Day School program at SD NU Nawa Kartika is running effectively, as reflected in the increased student participation, optimal management of learning time, and positive responses from all respondents. These findings indicate that the program is worth maintaining and can serve as a model for other elementary schools that wish to improve the quality of education through a full-day learning system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Drill and Practice model assisted by tracing media in improving the beginning writing skills of first-grade students at SD Kanisius Kudus. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles involving 26 students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation and writing skill tests, while data analysis was performed using a descriptive quantitative approach. The results showed an increase in the average writing ability score from 58.5 in the pre-cycle stage to 82.4 in Cycle II, with learning mastery reaching 88%. The implementation of repetitive practice and visual assistance through tracing media helped improve students’ fine motor coordination, letter formation accuracy, writing neatness, and readability. Variations of tracing media in Cycle II increased students’ engagement and learning motivation during the learning process. This study indicates that the integration of structured practice models with concrete learning media can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to support early literacy development among elementary school students.
