Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe: 1) the full-day school system at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas for the 2024-2025 academic year; 2) the challenges and opportunities of the full-day school at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas for the 2024-2025 academic year; and 3) the implications of the full-day school system on the psychological development of students at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas for the 2024-2025 academic year. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a phenomenology type of study. Data collection techniques employed are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The data validity techniques used are triangulation and member checking. Research Findings The results of this research show that 1. The full-day school system at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas is divided into two parts: extracurricular and intracurricular. Extracurricular activities include: 1) scouting; and 2) karate. Intracurricular activities include: 1) BTQ (Reading and Writing the Quran); 2) worship practice; 3) salam (greeting) culture; and 4) culture of reading selected short surahs (from the Quran). 2.  The obstacles to the full-day school system at SDS IT Sambas are: 1) facilities and infrastructure; 2) creating lesson plans that adapt to curriculum changes; 3) consistency and optimization of services to students' parents. Meanwhile, the opportunities for the full-day school system at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas are: 1) learning that aligns with students' needs and potential; 2) enrichment of students' experiences in daily life; and 3) obtaining quality education. 3. The implications of the full-day school system on student development at SDS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas are: 1) the development of students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains; 2) students' background; 3) interaction with the environment; 4) relevant learning; 5) external threats at school; 6) emotional development; and 7) moral development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explore: (1) the Islamic education values instilled through religious culture in Grade V of State Elementary School 29 Sedayu, (2) the process of internalizing Islamic education values through religious culture, and (3) the implications of this internalization for students’ religious attitudes and behaviors. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis involved several stages: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results revealed that the Islamic education values internalized through religious culture included values of aqidah (faith), sharia (worship and religious practice), and akhlaq (morality). The internalization process was carried out through exemplary behavior, habituation, and reinforcement in various religious activities, such as collective prayer, Qur’an recitation, Friday charity (infaq), and the 5S habits (Smile, Greet, Salute, Polite, and Courteous). This internalization positively influenced students’ religious character, as reflected in their increased discipline in performing prayers, willingness to lead prayers or the call to prayer (adhan), politeness, mutual respect, and the ability to apply Islamic values in daily life.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze: 1) Student learning interest in arts, culture, and crafts at At-Taqwa Islamic Junior High School, Sambas, in the 2023-2024 academic year; 2) Teacher strategies for increasing student learning interest in Arts, Culture, and Crafts at At-Taqwa Islamic Junior High School, Sambas, during the 2023-2024 academic year; 3) Factors influencing teachers in increasing student learning interest in arts, culture, and crafts at At-Taqwa Islamic Junior High School, Sambas, in the 2023-2024 academic year. This study employed a qualitative approach and phenomenological research. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was verified using source triangulation, technical triangulation, and member checking. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Students' interest in learning is driven by individual and social motives, group work learning methods, collaborative projects and emotional factors influence students' interest in learning, (2) Teacher strategies to increase interest in learning are strategies implemented by role playing, presentations in class and expository strategies, (3) Factors that influence teachers to increase students' interest in learning are internal factors, namely from within themselves, including psychological aspects consisting of student motivation, external factors, namely from outside, including social environmental factors and non-social factors consisting of schools and classmates can influence teachers to increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate: 1) Student learning outcomes on the topic of hadast and najis in class VII B at SMPS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas before implementing the Make a Match learning model during the 2023/2024 academic year; 2) Student learning outcomes on the same topic in class VII B at SMPS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas after applying the Make a Match learning model during the 2023/2024 academic year; and 3) The impact of the Make a Match learning model on student learning outcomes in class VII B on the topic of hadast and najis at SMPS IT Sulthoniyah in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research employs a quantitative approach with a comparative research type in the form of a quasi-experiment. The population of the experiment consisted of 50 students, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques applied were validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent samples tests, and paired samples tests. The findings of the research are as follows: 1) The pre-test results from the Independent Samples Test, conducted before treatment, indicated a mean score of 66.09 for the experimental class and 65.14 for the control class, showing that the students’ abilities were similar before treatment. The Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.753 > 0.05, indicating that Ho was accepted, and Ha was rejected, meaning there was no significant effect of the Make a Match learning model on student learning outcomes before treatment. 2) The post-test results from the Independent Samples Test, conducted after treatment, showed a mean student learning outcome of 76.19 in the experimental class and 69.33 in the control class, indicating that the experimental class had a higher average following treatment. The Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.039 < 0.05, 3) The research design test value was 5.91, and the Paired Samples Test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning Ho was rejected, and Ha was accepted, indicating a significant effect of the Make a Match learning model on student learning outcomes for the topic of hadast and najis in class VII B at SMPS IT Sulthoniyah Sambas.
