Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct the philosophy of love in Islamic education through a humanistic approach that integrates spirituality, empathy, and social harmony. Using a critical literature review and philosophical-hermeneutic analysis, the research explores classical Islamic thought, particularly the concepts of maḥabbah (love), ta’dib (ethical discipline), and rahmah (compassion), in relation to modern humanistic theories advanced by Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow. The findings reveal that love in Islam functions not merely as an emotional state but as an epistemological and ethical foundation that unites divine knowledge with human experience. This reconstruction leads to the formulation of a Love-Based Islamic Humanistic Education (LIHE) model comprising three interrelated dimensions: spiritual foundation (cognitive-affective integration), pedagogical process (dialogical and empathic learning), and social manifestation (tolerance and harmony). The synthesis of Islamic and humanistic paradigms offers a transformative moral and character education framework, emphasizing empathy, inclusiveness, and ethical awareness. His study concludes that love should serve as the core of Islamic educational philosophy, bridging faith and humanity while addressing the challenges of pluralism, dehumanization, and moral disintegration in contemporary society. This research contributes theoretically by redefining the epistemology of Islamic education and practically by offering pedagogical guidelines for developing compassionate and inclusive Islamic learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the convergence of Internet of Things (IoT) and smart home technologies through a systematic literature review. The main objective is to identify key integration frameworks, interoperability challenges, security and privacy issues, and emerging innovation pathways that shape the evolution of IoT-based smart home ecosystems. Design/Methodology/Approach – A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach was employed following the PRISMA protocol. Academic publications indexed in Scopus, IEEE Xplore, and ScienceDirect from 2013 to 2024 were systematically screened. Inclusion criteria focused on studies addressing IoT-smart home integration, interoperability, efficiency, security, and innovation. Data were analyzed qualitatively using thematic content analysis to extract major research themes and identify research gaps. Findings –The review identifies four dominant research themes: (1) Architectural integration leveraging sensing, networking, and application layers with cloud and edge computing; (2) Interoperability challenges due to fragmented platforms and lack of global standards; (3) Security and privacy concerns involving data breaches, unauthorized access, and system vulnerabilities; and (4) Technological innovation driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), blockchain, and 5G technologies. Despite significant progress, the literature highlights the need for adaptive integration frameworks, AI-based security mechanisms, and empirical evaluation of hybrid IoT–AI–Blockchain systems. Originality/Value – This study provides a comprehensive synthesis of recent advances in IoT-smart home research, mapping existing frameworks and identifying unresolved issues. It contributes to the body of knowledge by offering a conceptual foundation for future interdisciplinary research, practical implementation strategies, and policy development for secure, efficient, and user-centric smart home ecosystems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Law No. 4 of 2009 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining and identify the direction of policy reform needed in the mineral and mineral sector in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach based on systematic literature studies, the research examined various international academic articles, global organization reports, policy documents, and government publications related to extractive sector governance. The results of the study show that the 2009 Mineral and Mineral Law marks an important paradigm shift in natural resource management through strengthening the role of the state and reforming the licensing system. However, its implementation still faces significant challenges such as weak central-regional coordination, limited supervisory capacity, and ineffective law enforcement against environmental and social violations. The literature also reveals that institutional and governance factors are the main determinants of regulatory success, not just the substance of the law. Therefore, further reforms are needed in the form of regulatory harmonization, institutional capacity building, strengthening transparency mechanisms, and the adoption of mine monitoring technology. This research contributes to understanding the dynamics of mining policy and offers directions for strengthening the governance of the mineral and mineral sector in the future
