The development of creative economy in rural areas can be supported through the utilization of local natural resources and community creativity. Ecoprint is a creative craft that utilizes leaves, flowers, and other plant materials to produce natural motifs with aesthetic value. This study aimed to describe the implementation of local-material-based ecoprint training as a strategy for introducing creative economic activities to elementary school students in Situnggaling Village, Merek District, Karo Regency. The study employed field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research was conducted during the Community Service Program (KKN) of students from Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara in July–August 2026. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving elementary school students, teachers, and KKN students. The findings showed that students actively participated in selecting local materials, arranging plant materials, and producing ecoprint works. The activity provided students with practical experience in utilizing local resources while developing creativity and basic skills. The training also introduced the concept of creative economy through the transformation of natural materials into creative products. The activity has potential to be developed through continuous training, product diversification, and simple marketing.
