Abstract

Pentingnya keberadaan hutan mangrove membuat pemerintah dan masyarakat melakukan konservasi terhadap keberadaannya. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menjaga dan melestarikan kestabilan peranan dan fungsinya. Objek wisata Hutan Kera Nepa terletak di Desa Nepa pesisir utara pulau madura dan berjarak ±50 km dari pusat Kota Sampang. Merupakan suatu keunikan tersendiri, seluas 1 km2 di kelilingi oleh sungai air tawar yang bermuara langsung ke laut, merupakan gabungan eksotika pemandangan yang luar biasa. Melalui konsep mangrove park diharapkan menjadi salah satu usaha untuk menjaga kelestarian hutan yang telah ada dan untuk pemberdayaan potensi mangrove demi kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir.Kata Kunci: Ekosistem Mangrove, Hutan Kera Nepa, Mangrove ParkTHE STUDY OF MANGROVE PARK CONCEPT FOR ECOTOURISM POTENTIAL OF NEPA COAST IN SAMPANG REGENCYABSTRACTThe importance of mangrove forest makes government together with the society conducting conservation. This activity had objective to keep and preserve the stability of mangrove forest’s role and function. The tourism object of Kera Nepa Forest is located at Nepa Village, the north coast of Madura Island, its distance is about 50 km from the center part of Sampang. This place has its own uniqueness, because 1 km2 of its area is surrounded by freshwater river which directly empties into the sea, a combination of amazing and exotic scenery.
