<![CDATA[This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes of class VII D SMP Negeri 2 MLATI students with STAD cooperative learning type. The study was conducted in two cycles with 6 meetings, with the subject of the research being Grade VII D students of SMP Negeri 2 MLATI, with 32 students. Data collection techniques in this study used test and non-test (observation) techniques. The instruments used in this study were test instruments in the form of multiple choice questions and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets of teacher and student activities. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of student mathematics learning outcomes data and activities of teachers and students, as well as analysis of the achievement of research objectives. The results showed there was an increase in student learning outcomes. The results were obtained based on the results of tests given at the beginning of the study, the end of cycles 1 and 2, namely from the initial condition of 9.38% to 53.13% at the end of cycle 1, then 84.38% at the end of cycle 2. Based on the results of the study , it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students increased through the application of STAD type cooperative learning in class VII D students of SMP Negeri 2 MLATI in the 2016/2017 year.]]>
