Kegagalan proses pengobatan (Medication error) melalui pemberian obat memiliki potensi membahayakan pasien dalam proses perawatan maupun pengobatan, yang dapat menyebabkan resiko fatal dari suatu penyakit. Perawat bertugas untuk mengetahui setiap komponen dari perintah pemberian obat termasuk aspek “enam tepat”. Enam tepat terdiri dari tepat pasien, tepat obat, tepat dosis, tepat waktu, tepat cara, dan tepat pendokumentasian. Ketepatan tersebut harus didasari dengan keterampilan, pendidikan, dan pengetahuan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pendidikan dan lama kerja perawat dengan penerapan prinsip “Enam Tepat” dalam pemberian obat. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif korelatif dengan rancangan cross sectional. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner penerapan prinsip “enam tepat” yang terdiri dari 20 pernyataan dan kuesioner karakteristik responden. Sampel berjumlah 124 perawat RSUD Dr. H. Soewondo Kendal. Hubungan tingkat pendidikan dan lama kerja perawat dengan prinsip enam tepat dilakukan analisa bivariate dengan menggunakan uji Sperman’s rho dengan hasil tidak ada hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan perawat dengan penerapan prinsip “enam tepat “dalam pemberian obat (p value 0,390) dan ada hubungan antara lama kerja perawat dengan penerapan prinsip “enam tepat” dalam pemberian obat (p value 0,028). Kata kunci: enam tepat, obat, tingkat pendidikan, lama kerja ABSTRACT Failure of the treatment process (Medication error) through drug administration has the potential to endanger the patient in the process of treatment and treatment, which can cause a fatal risk of an illness. The nurse is tasked with knowing each component of the drug administration order including the "six right" aspect. The right six consists of the right patient, the right medicine, the right dose, the right time, the right way, and the right documentation. This accuracy must be based on skills, education, and knowledge. The research aims to determine the relationship of the level of education and length of work of nurses with the application of the principle of "six right" in drug administration. The research method uses descriptive correlative with cross sectional design. The measuring instrument uses a questionnaire applying the principle of "six right" consisting of 20 statements and questionnaire characteristics of respondents. The sample consisted of 124 nurses Soewondo Hospital Kendal. The relationship between the level of education and the length of service of nurses with the six principles is appropriate to do a bivariate analysis using the Sperman's rho test with the result that there is no relationship between the level of education of nurses and the application of the "six right" principle in drug administration (p value 0.390) and there is a relationship between the length of work of nurses by applying the "six right" principle in drug administration (p value 0.028).
