<![CDATA[Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan: (a) peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya metode pembelajaran kooperatif jigsaw, (b) motivasi belajar siswa setelah diterapkan pembelajaran kooperatif jigsaw. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas sebanyak tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: rancangan, kegiatan dan pengamatan, refleksi, dan refisi. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI – IA5 SMAN 20 Surabaya. Data yang diperoleh berupa hasil tes pada setiap siklusnya, lembar observasi kegiatan belajar mengajar. Dari hasil analisis didapatkan bahwa prestasi belajar siswa mengalami meningkatan dari siklus I sampai siklus III yaitu, siklus I (67,50%), siklus II (77,50%), siklus III (95,00% ).

Abstract: The purpose of this study are to describe: (a) an increase in student achievement after the implementation of Jigsaw cooperative learning method, (b) students motivation after being applied to cooperative learning Jigsaw. This study uses classroom action research was done three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: design, activity and observation, reflection, and refision. Object of this study is student at the XI grade of SMAN 20 Surabaya class IA5. The data obtained form the results of tests on each cycle, observation of teaching and learning activities sheet. From the analysis it was found that increasing student achievement suffered from cycle I to cycle III, namely, cycle I (67.50%), cycle II (77.50%), cycle III (95.00%).
