DESAIN APLIKASI SISTEM INFORMASI PELANGGAN PDAM BERBASIS WebGIS (STUDI KASUS : KOTA DEMAK)

ABSTRAKDesain adalah suatu sistem yang berlaku untuk segala jenis perancangan dimana titik beratnya adalah melihat segala sesuatu persoalan tidak secara terpisah atau tersendiri, melainkan sebagai suatu kesatuan dimana satu masalah dengan lainnya saling terkait.Objek penelitian yaitu berupa aplikasi sistem informasi pelanggan PDAM Demak. Web-based GIS (WebGIS) adalah Aplikasi Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) yang terdistribusi dalam suatu jaringan komputer untuk mengintegrasikan dan menyebarluaskan informasi geografi secara visual pada World Wide Web. WebGIS dibandingkan dengan desktop GIS menawarkan beberapa keuntungan seperti efisiensi biaya, efisiensi beban kerja sumber daya manusia untuk instalasi, pemeliharaan dan dukungan teknis, pemangkasan kurva pembelajaran untuk pengguna akhir dan keunggulan dalam hal integrasi data spatial dan data non spatial.Hasil penelitian akan berupa sebuah desain aplikasi GIS yang berbasis web yang memberikan fasilitas untuk untuk pelanggan PDAM dan instansi dalam pengembangan sistem informasi. Kata Kunci : Desain, WebGIS, Web-based, spatial, non spatial ABSTRACT Design is a system which applicable to any kind of design where the emphasis to see everything unseperated, but as a unity is correlated one problem to each other.The object of research is customer information system application in Demak. Web-based GIS (WebGIS) is a Geographic Information System Applications (GIS) that is  distributed in a computer network to integrate and disseminate geographic information visually to the World Wide Web. WebGIS compared with desktop GIS offers several advantages such as cost efficiency, workload efficiency of human resources for the installation, maintenance and technical support, trimming the learning curve for end users and excellence in the integration of spatial data and non-spatial Data.The results of this research is an Applications of GIS which has the web to give some facilities to customers of PDAM and offices to develop of the information systems.Keywords: Design, WebGIS, Web-based, spatial, non-spatial
