<![CDATA[The aims of this research are to describe: (1) the use of diction in the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (2) the existence of imagery in the lyrics of the song Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (3) the dominant style of language in the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (4) the value of character education in the lyrics of the song album Don’t’ Make Me Sad by Letto; and (5) the relevance with the teaching materials of literature for senior high school students. This research is descriptive qualitative research using content analysis method. The source of data in this research is the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto and the result of interview with informants. The technique of taking the sample used in this research was purposive sampling. The technique of collecting the data in this research was data analysis and interview with the informants. This research uses source triangulation and method triangulation to validate the data. The researcher uses interactive analysis method in this research. ]]>
