Abstract

This is descriptive qualitative research using stylistic analysis to describe the existence of language style, diction, image, educational values of the character, and the relevance of the lyrics of Fourtwnty album Lelaku as a teaching material for Indonesian language learning at high school. Data collection techniques use content analysis and interviews. Validity test of data using medhod triangulation techniques and theory. The results of this study indicate (1) the language style dominated by sinpoke, repetition epizeuksis, and symbolic able to create aesthetic effects, typical, and affirmation; (2) diction is dominated by connotative and typical greetings and names  that can create beauty and uniqueness; (3) the image is dominated by vision capable of generating the image of the reader; (4) the values of character education are dominated by religious values, communicative, hard work, and peaceful love that is expected to shape the character of the reader; and (5) The lyrics of Fourtwnty's album Lelaku can be used and developed as learning materials of class X Indonesian language especially poetry appreciation material on basic competence 3.8 and 4.8.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe 1) the use of style in the poetry collection book of Kuajak Kau ke Hutan dan Tersesat Berdua by Boy Candra, 2) the use diction in the poetry collection book of Kuajak Kau ke Hutan dan Tersesat Berdua by Boy Candra, and 3) relevance between in the poetry collection book of Kuajak Kau ke Hutan dan Tersesat Berdua with poetry writing in grade 10 th Senior High School.This research used a purposive sampling techniques. In this research, the qualitative descriptive method used by the stylistics was used to describe the use language styles and diction. The source of this research data is a text document. Data collection technique in the form of interactive data analysis. The validaty data used the trianggulation data.The result show that (1) the use of language style found in the books Kuajak Kau ke Hutan dan Tersesat Berdua is comparative, affirmations, and contradictions language style. The most dominant language style is comparative language style of metaphor, (2) the use diction found in the poetry collection book is connotative and denotative. The most dominant of diction is konotative, and (3) The poetry collection book can be relevance as the teaching material for poetry writing in grade 10 th Senior High School.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe and explain: (1) the characterization of the figures in the novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu by Gatotkoco Suroso, (2) the inner conflict experienced by the main figure, (3) the values of character education in the novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu by Gatotkoco Suroso, (4) the relevance of the values of character education as teaching materials of literature appreciation in senior high school. This research is a descriptive qualitative research which used pscychology literature. The technique of data analysis used was interactive analysis technique. The result of this research showed that the characterization of the figures in the novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu by Gatotkoco Suroso are described through three dimensions, dimension of psysiological, psychological, and sociological. Novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu also contained 18 values of character education, that are religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hardwork, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, spirit of nationality, love the motherland, appreciating achievement, friendly/ communicative, love and peace, loving to read, care for the environtment, social care, and responsibility. Novel Jokowi Si Tukang Kayu is relevant to be used as teaching materials of literature appreciation in senior high school at class XII.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of euphemism and dysphemism in the Solopos newspaper headlines as Indonesian teaching material in junior high schools. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with content analysis method. The data source used was the headline of the December 2019 edition of the Solopos newspaper, which contained expressions of euphemism and dysphemism. The data analysis technique used is the flow analysis model. Data validity test used is theory triangulation, data source triangulation, and informant review. Data collection techniques used were document analysis and in-depth interviews. informants in this study were Indonesian Language teachers and junior high school students. The results of this study indicate that the use of the main news rubric in the Solopos newspaper can be used as teaching material for writing news texts using one of the two stay two stray learning models.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explain and describe (1) a form of violation of the principle of cooperation in the interaction of learning Indonesian in SMK Batik 1 Surakarta; (2) the purpose of violating the principle of cooperation in learning Indonesian in SMK Batik 1 Surakarta; (3) the function of violating the principle of cooperation in the interaction of learning Indonesian in SMK Batik 1 Surakarta. This research is descriptive qualitative research with main data source that is recording of learning activity of Indonesia in class X Visual Communication Design and XI Marketing. Technique of data retrieval in this research use observation technique and deep interview technique. Technique of taking research subject using purposive sampling technique. The data validity test used is triangulation technique and triangulation theory. Data analysis techniques using interactive analysis techniques. Based on the results of the research, found a speech breaking a maximum of cooperation and speech principles that violate two maxims of cooperation principles, called a single maximal offense and a double maximal offense.  Violation of maxim that happened not only done by teacher but also done by student. Maximum violations have 11 violation objectives. Maximum violation of the principle of cooperation done by both students and teachers have their respective functions. The function of language related to maximal violation have 7 functions.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe: (1) the use of diction in the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (2) the existence of imagery in the lyrics of the song Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (3) the dominant style of language in the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (4) the value of character education in the lyrics of the song album Don’t’ Make Me Sad by Letto; and (5) the relevance with the teaching materials of literature for senior high school students. This research is descriptive qualitative research using content analysis method. The source of data in this research is the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto and the result of interview with informants. The technique of taking the sample used in this research was purposive sampling. The technique of collecting the data in this research was data analysis and interview with the informants. This research uses source triangulation and method triangulation to validate the data. The researcher uses interactive analysis method in this research.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) use of diction in public service advertisements on the radio, (2) use of the style language public service advertisements on the radio, and (3) the relevance of the study with teaching material in junior high school. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The data source in this research is the recorded public service announcements that were broadcast by radio Gesma. Sampling using a purposive sampling. Engineering data collection using the technique, refer to the record, record, and in-depth interviews. The validity of this research data using triangulation of data sources and theories. This research data analysis using the method of Flow Model of Analysis. The results of the analysis of the findings regarding the use of diction and style of advertising language is described as follows. The first use of diction public service advertisements on the radio is dominated by the word gaul. The use of the words based on the context of the speech, target audience, purpose and message delivery information the ad with an interesting language and communicative, and easily understood by the audience. Second, the use of stylistic rhetoric dominates the results. The use of stylistic variation, giving a characteristic flavor, and the value on ads aired. Third, the research results in the form of diction and style of language in public service advertisements on the radio can be direlevansikan on a language learning curriculum revision in 2013 Indonesia junior high school class VIII.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to describe the diction, figure of speech and the relevance of Antologi Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2015 ‘Anak Ini Mau Mengencingi Jakarta?’ And It’s Relevance to the Teaching Materials of Grade XI of Senior High School in the Curriculum of 2013. This research is a descriptive qualitative shaped with describe or illustrate the problems occurred and analyze the data in the form of words or sentences. Sampling techniques using is purposive sampling method. Engineering data collection using the technique of the analysis of the documents and interviews with informan. The validity used is sources and theory triangulation. Data analysis technique used is flow model of analysis. Procedure research conducted several different stages namely the preparation phase, the phase of implementation, and the stage of the preparation of the report. The results of these studies were found (1) utilization of diction with a total of 238 overall data; (2 the form of language stylistics with a total of 148 overall data; and (3) the relevance of Antologi Cerpen Pilihan Kompas 2015 Anak Ini Mau Mengencingi Jakarta? And It’s Relevance to the Bahasa Indonesia’s Teaching Materials of Grade XI of Senior High School in the Curriculum of 2013.

Abstract

One of the issues that students face today is a lack of politeness in their language. Students' politeness is reflected in their attitudes when sending messages to lecturers. The objective of this study was to determine how polite students are when communicating with their lecturers through WhatsApp.  This study was conducted at a private university in Sukoharjo. The data was obtained from student texts in the lecturer's WhatsApp app. The data was analyzed using Brown and Levinson's (1987) FTA theory on politeness strategies. According to the findings of the study, some students were found sending messages without greeting the lecturers and instead conveying their intentions directly. FTAs are common, and students frequently threaten the lecturers' faces. The words used in a student's message can have an effect on the teacher's feelings and make the conversation appear informal. Students appear to be unaware of social distance, roles and status, and power dynamics when interacting with lecturers. Some students treat lecturers as equals, which comes across as rude and disrespectful. It is strongly suggested that this topic be expanded upon and discussed in a broader context and area for future research. More research could look at this issue from a different perspective.

Abstract

Pertunjukkan ketoprak merupakan suatu pertunjukkan dengan menampilkan cerita kehidupan masyarakat Jawa yang banyak mengandung pesan dan nilai karakter yang sangat berguna untuk kehidupan sehari-hari dengan dikemas dalam bentuk dialog dan adegan. Pendidikan karakter berguna untuk mengatur dan membina karakter masyarakat khususnya para remaja. Hal tersebut dikarenakan banyaknya karakter perilaku yang menyimpang dan memprihatinkan yang ditunjukkan oleh para remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai pendidikan karakter pada pertunjukkan ketoprak lakon Pedhut Jatisrana sebagai sarana dan media pendidikan karakter. Adapun sumber data pada penelitian ini dengan menyimak dan mengamati langsung video dokumentasi pertunjukkan ketoprak lakon Pedhut Jatisrana. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis dokumentasi video pertunjukkan ketoprak lakon Pedhut Jatisrana. Adapun analisis data menggunakan pengamatan adegan dan dialog pada pertunjukkan ketoprak Pedhut Jatisrana. Pada hasil penelitian ditemukan adanya nilai pendidikan karakter yang dikemas dalam sebuah dialog pada pertunjukkan ketoprak Pedhut Jatisrana karya Bondan Nusantara tersebut. Adapun nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditemukan yaitu karakter peduli sosial, jujur, cinta damai, kerja keras, cinta tanah air, religius, dan rasa ingin tahu yang terdapat pada dialog-dialog pertunjukkan ketoprak tersebut. Adapun nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter berguna dan relevan sebagai sarana dan media pendidikan karakter untuk masyarakat saat ini.
