<![CDATA[This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of Group Investigation type towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding compared with the conventional learning. The design research was posttest only control group design with the population was all students of eighth grade in even semester of junior high school state 1 Anak Ratu Aji. The samples of this research were students of VIII1 as experiment class and VIII2 as control class, that were gotten by purposive sampling technique. Based on hypothesis test, it was gotten that the average of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of cooperative learning model of type Group Investigation type was higher than conventional learning. The conclusion of this research was the cooperative learning model of type Group Investigation type influences the student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design dengan populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Anak Ratu Aji. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII2 sebagai kelas kontrol, yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model Group Investigation lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional.
