<![CDATA[This quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of NHT type viewed by students mathematical communication ability. The population of this research was grade 9th students of junior high school state of 2 of Adiluwih in academic year of 2014/2015. The samples of this research were students of IXD and IXB class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was post-test only control design. Based on the result of data analysis, it was concluded that the cooperative learning model of NHT type was effective viewed by students mathematical communication ability.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMPN 2 Adiluwih tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IXD dan IXB yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: komunikasi matematis, konvensional, numbered heads together]]>
