<![CDATA[This was a quasi experimental research that aimed to find out the influence of the learning model of think pair share towards student’s understanding of the mathematical concepts. The implementation of think pair share includes three stages, that are thinking, pairing, and sharing. The population of this research was all students of grade VIII of even semester of SMP Negeri 28 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014 that distributed into eight classes. The samples were students of VIIIB and VIIIC class who taken by purposive sampling technique with posttest only control group design. The research data was obtained by tests of mathematical conceptual understanding. This research was conculed that the learning model of think pair share influenced to students mathematical conceptual understanding of students of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 28 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran think pair share terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Pelaksanaan think pair share meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu thinking, pairing, dan sharing. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 28 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam delapan kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIB dan VIIIC yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan menggunakan desain penelitian posttest only control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran think pair share berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 28 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep matematis, pembelajaran kooperatif, think pair share]]>
