PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of STAD type towards mathematical conceptual understanding. The design of this research was posttest only control design. This research population was all students of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Pagelaran in the academic year of  2013/2014 who were distributed into 10 classes. This research samples were students of  VIII.8 and VIII.9 class. Based on the analysis of data, it can be concluded that generally, the average of students mathematical conceptual understanding in STAD as same as average of students mathematical conceptual understanding in conventional learning. Thus, the implementation of the cooperative learning model of STAD type has no effect towards mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control design. Popu­lasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pagelaran tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi ke dalam 10 kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.8 dan VIII.9. Berdasarkan analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa secara umum  rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD sama dengan rata-rata  pemahaman  konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD tidak berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika.Kata kunci: konvensional, pemahaman konsep matematis, STAD
