<![CDATA[Abstract: The pourpuse this study were to describe the values of education character in the poem of people song ”senandung Maondu Pojo” in Kapur IX District Lima Puluh Kota Regency and to document the poem of people song ”senandung Maondu Pojo” as a study of oral literature.The research data was collected by qualitative data, were the poem of people song ”senandung Maondu Pojo”from three informans, helped by instrument like recording tool (audio and audiovisual), nothing sheet, and interview guidance. The result of this study is five values of education character in the poem of people song ”senandung Maondu Pojo” there are believe and obedince, honesty, smart, strong, and care.
