Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explain the following. First, the relationship with the reading skills of news writing students class VIII SMP Negeri 24 Padang. Secondly, the relationship between motivation to learn the skills of news writing students class VIII SMP Negeri 24 Padang. Third, the relationship of reading interest and motivation to learn the skills of news writing students classVIII SMP Negeri 24 Padang. The population was classVIII SMP Negeri 24 Padang. Sampling are 40 student performed using proportional random sampling technique. Data collected through questionnaires and performance tests. Questionnaire used to see interest in reading and students' motivation, while performance tests conducted to determine the outcome of news writing skills of students. Analysis and discussion of the data is done in accordance with the concept of descriptive correlational study. Based on the research conducted can be summarized as the following three things. First, there is a significant correlation between interest in reading the news writing skills students class VIII SMP Negeri 24 Padang. Secondly, there is a significant relationship between motivation to learn the skills of news writing students class VIII SMP Negeri 24 Padang. Third, there is a significant relationship between interest in reading and learning motivation together with news writing skills students class VIII SMP Negeri 24 Padang. Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this study are to describe of the process of improvement the writing skill to write stories and describe the resulting increase in the skill of writing a children's story-assisted film "UpinIpin" through imitate of models technique. Sample of this study is a III class of SD Negeri 200208 in 2011/2012 Academic Year.This study is a classroom action research (CAR). The study was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle consists of two meeting. The data of this study is the action of the teacher in teaching, learning materials, students activity in learning learning process, and the result of student learning in writing the story. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, field notes, questionnaires, and test performance. Qualitative data were analyzed by descriptive analysis model of Miles and Hubberman. Quantitative data such as students' test results in writing stories with descriptive statistics. Based on data analysis, it was concluded that imitate the technique of model-assisted film "UpinIpin", the students writing story to III SD Negeri 200208 Padangsidimpuan has increased. Students are more enthusiastic and passionate in teaching members to write stories. Students’ essay are more qualified in terms of use of plot, depiction of figures and characterization, description of the background, the use of style, the use of point of view, the theme of the story, and cohesiveness builder story elements. The results obtained after increasing student test performance. The average of the pre-cycle in writing test is 63.8 and the results of first cycle by an average of 70.9.  after two cycles of the obtained results on average by 75.9.The results of the average value of the test writing this story shows that learning to write a story with imitate of models technique assisted film "UpinIpin" in III SD Negeri 200208 Padangsidimpuan has increased and successful.   Kata Kunci :Keterampilan Menulis, Teknik Tiru Model

Abstract

Abstract: Linguistic problem which is discussed in this research is about interference, it is error which is caused by first language ( L1 ) to second language ( L 2). scmorphology, vocabulary,and syntax. But in this reseach, it is limited on morphology. This research ains to de scribe Mandailing language interference in Indonesian writing from the word, kinds, and the caused. This research uses qualitative research and used descriptive method. The object of this research is the VIII grade students of MTS Baharuddin writing. The data of this research is the words in sentence which contain of mandailing language morphological  interference in students’ writing. The instrument of this research is performance test. The data collection is done by grouping the words which is interferenced into the work analysis table. The result of the research shows that morphological interference of Mandailing in students’ Indonesian writing of theVIII grade students of MTS Baharuddin. First, there are Mandailing language interference in Indonesian include 40 words from (1) such as ( nominal, verbal, adjective and conjunction), (2) affixation, (3) reduplication, and (4) composition. Second, productive interfernce, reseptive and psycological interference. Third, factors which caused the interference in students’ writing are : (1) the influence of first language, (2) the lack of understanding on the language which is used, and (3) unsuitable language teaching . so that, it can be concluded that based on the data found, the interference which is seen in the students’ writing is still fair, it means because the students are influenced by bilingual of the students. Abstract

Abstrack: This research purposes to analyze locality figure of speech in Mangkutak di Negeri Prosaliris by Rusli Marzuki Saria. To achieve this objective the writer uses the authentic theory of figure of speech, language figure of speech and locality aspects. The type of this research is qualitative research with descriptive method. The conclusion of this research in Mangkutak di Negeri Prosaliris has six figures of speech. There are; (1) the locality figure of speech comparative focus on animal world and the real live. (2) The locality figure of speech personification make a figure of speech become real and live. (3) The locality of figure of speech metaphor shows that minangkabau idiom has many meaning. (4) The locality figure of speech allegory tells the story in minangkabau. (5) The locality figure of speech parable tells the characteristic in minangkabau which they name are not popular for people yet. (6) The locality figure of speech fable tells about life experience of the writer poet that assumes him like pets. The most dominant figure of speech that Mangkutak di Negeri Prosaliris use is figure of speech personification and metaphor.     Kata kunci: majas lokalitas,kumpulan sajak Mangkutak Di Negeri Prosaliris karya Rusli Marzuki Saria.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the problem that is happening in VIII year students if MTsN Kamang. The writer chooses the students ability in writing news because the students get low score, it is 73 (below the KKM). The writer predicts that there is a link between students motivation in studying and students’ knowledge about news structure. The writer does this research describe how big the contribution of studying motivation and structure news in writing news.The population of this is the VIII year students of MTsN Kamang, consists of 120 students. The writer uses analysis desrciptive method. The technic that is used in this research is simple random sampling with 35 students in this research. The research is using some instruments such as questionnaire, optional test which is used to measure the news structure knowledge, and the writing test is used to measure the ability in writing news. Next, the data is processed using product moment formula, double correlation, F test, double regression test to know how the contribution between the variable. According to the result of the research, the writer concludes: (1) the contribution of studying motivation in writing news ability is 6,10%; (2) the contribution of structure news knowledge is 16%; (3) the contribution of studying motivation and structure news knowledge in writing news is 21,16%. Thus, the writer concludes that studying motivation and structure news knowledge give the contribution in VIII year students of MTsN Kamang ability.

Abstract

Abstract: Position and function of oral literature including folklore is increasingly displaced due to technological advances, cultural systems, social systems, and political systems are developed. Therefore, efforts should be made documenting folklore Rambah society. The purpose of this study was to describe the categories, structure and social functions contained in the folklore society Rambah. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Object of this study is the folklore society Sand Pengaraian Rambah district. Data collection was done by recording, recording and interviews. Then proceed to describe and interpret the results. Data analysis was performed through a data inventory phase, phase of data analysis, and reporting phases. Based on the research and discussion of public folklore Rambah divided into three categories, namely fairy tales, legends, and myths. Of the fourteen stories, stories that have category found eight legends, myths category four stories, and a bit of a fairy tale by the two stories. In terms of structure, folklore Rambah people are more likely to use the plot forward and a third person perspective. Moreover, in terms of style more common stylistic comparison, repetition, and contradiction. Rambah folklore society serves as a means of entertainment, education, faith bequeathed the means, the means to preserve the customs, culture, and traditions, shows Rambah community identity, as well as a means of fostering a spirit of togetherness. The results could be implicated in the Indonesian language learning with understanding the competency standard spoken folklore.   Keywords: Cerita Rakyat, Masyarakat Rambah

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to describe the process of improving students’ reading comprehension skills through CIRC of VIII.5 students of MTsN Kamang. This research is a classroom action research. The subjects were students of class VIII 5 MTsN Kamang academic year 2013/2014. The selection of the research subject was based on the result of the students’ reading comprehension that lower than the other class. The research was conducted in II cycles. Each cycle consist of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were obtained in the form of qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were collected through observation and field notes. Further, quantitative data obtained through objective tests and questionnaire of students learning. Based on the result of this research, the use of CIRC in learning reading comprehension skills can improve students' reading comprehension skills. This improvement was seen in the findings of the research, the students' average score on the first cycle was 71.6 was in sufficient classification, and on the second cycle with an average score 8.2 was at a good classification. From the data found from both cycle, it can be concluded that CIRC can i mprove students’ reading comprehension. In addition, the implementation of CIRC make learning process more interesting, fun because the students can be active, independent, and creative. Abstract

Abstrack: This study aimed to clarify the effect of the model cooperatif learning strategies Think-Talk-Write and high motivation and low motivation to learn the study to write a drama students class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai. The population was class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai. Sampling totaled 63 students conducted by purposive sampling. Data collected through questionnaires and tests. Questionnaire used to see students' motivation and performance tests conducted to determine the result of study to write a drama of students. Analysis and discussion of the data is done in accordance with the descriptive-analytical study concept experiments. Based on the results of the data analysis we can conclude the following four things. First, the result of study to write a drama that taught using model cooperative learning strategies Think-Talk-Write better than students taught by conventional methods. Second, there is no interaction between learning motivation and learning methods in affecting student’ result of study to write drama. Third, the result of study to write a drama of students who have high motivation are taught using model cooperative learning strategies Think-Talk-Write better than that taught by convensional methods. Fourth, the result of study to write a drama of students who have low motivation are taught using model cooperative learning strategies Think-Talk-Write better than that taught by convensional method. Abstract

Abstract: This research is a classroom action research the purpose of increase the effective speed of reading braille for blind students a basic class V SLB Negeri 2 Padang by two hands technique. These research held in six times meeting by reseach design: 1) planning, 2) action, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. Research subjects are all three blind students in class V SLB Negeri 2 Padang. The research result is marked by the improvement of student effective speed reading. Thereby, the two hands technique should be applied in learning process of blind students in SLB Negeri 2 Padang. Abstract

Abstract: This article was written to describe the master of Indonesian sentences for children in the age of 4,0-5,0 years old at the kindergarten of Aisyiyah 14 Padang based on (1) the amount of clauses, (2) the form of syntax, (3) the subject function, (4) the auxiliary completed, (5) the negation form. The data of this research was speech act to the children in the age of 4,0-5,0 years old at the kindergarten of Aisyiyah 14 Padang. Data was collected by using fishing technique, listening provided by speaking technique, unaware recording technique, writing technique and recording technique. The result of this research showed that the children have already mastered the type of singular, sentences verbal, adjectival, nominal, frase preposisional, transitive, intransitive, semitransitive, dwitransitive, ekatransitive, declararative, interrogative, imperative, exclamative, major, minor, active, passive and negative sentence. So, they has got preoperational process. Their sentences have had complex sentences that more than 5-8 wordsKey words: Penguasaan, kalimat bahasa Indonesia,anak usia dini
