<![CDATA[Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara Kecerdasan Emosional dengan Interaksi Sosial Siswa Kelas VII MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 370 siswa MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak tahun akademik 2014/2015 dan sampelnya berjumlah 55. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa bahwa kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas VII MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak mencapai 67% kategori penilaian cukup. Sementara interaksi sosial siswa MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak mencapai 68% kategori penilaian cukup. Hasil dari koreasi prodect moment kedua variabel didapat rhitung = 0,334 kemudian dibandingkan dengan rtabel = 0,266 dengan demikian rhitung lebih besar dari rtabel yang artinya terdapat terdapat korelasi yang signifikan berkategori cukup antara kecerdasan emosional dengan interaksi sosial siswa kelas VII MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak. Kata kunci: Kecerdasan Emosional, Interaksi Sosial Abstract: The purpose of the study is to discover whether there is a correlation between the emotional intelligence and social interaction of the 7th grade students of MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak. The population numbers of the study is 370 students of MTs Negeri 2 Pontianak with the sample is 55. The outcomes of data analysis showed that the emotional intelligence and social interaction of the 7th grade students of MTs N 2 Pontianak reached 67% and 68% both on fair catagories.
