<![CDATA[Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan kontekstual berbantuan alat peraga terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas VIII. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Intact-Group Comparison dengan 1 kali perlakuan dan 1 post-test. Setiap aktivitas guru dan siswa diamati oleh observer. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan alat peraga memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar di kelas VIII dengan effect size sebesar 1,485. Sumbangan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual berbantuan alat peraga terhadap koneksi matematis sebesar 43% sehingga berdasarkan kriteria yang berlaku harga effect size tergolong sedang. Berdasarkan besarnya sumbangan tersebut  dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang baik dari penerapan pendekatan kontekstual berbantuan alat peraga dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas VIII.
